We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do. \nKey Responsibilities: What you’ll do\nPattern Management: Retrieve and inspect the correct pattern per the daily schedule to ensure accuracy and quality in mold production. \nMold Production: Operate the sand mixer to fill molds, calibrate and maintain the continuous mixer, and place cores correctly in the cope and drag to produce high-quality molds. \nEquipment Operation: Control equipment that picks up and flips molds, operate mobile equipment, and use the overhead crane to move molds to the pouring floor and perform shakeout after pouring. \nDaily Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance on molding equipment, maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, and participate actively in lean initiatives to improve processes. \nSuccess Indicators: Consistently produce quality molds on schedule, maintain equipment reliability, demonstrate teamwork and a positive attitude, and uphold excellent attendance and safety records. \nSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications What you’ll bring Must-haves: High school diploma or GED \nGood reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal communication skills \nAbility to operate and maintain molding equipment safely and efficiently \nStrong work ethic with a positive attitude and good attendance record \n\nNice-to-haves:\nExperience with sand mixers and overhead crane operation \nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles \nPrevious experience in a molding or foundry environment \nAbility to work effectively as part of a team \nNice-to-haves:\nExperience with Oracle or similar inventory management systems\nForklift operation skills or certification\nBasic troubleshooting skills for robotic or automated equipment\nPrevious experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values: we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
