You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.\nWhat you’ll do\nTeam Leadership: Manage the entire maintenance team, overseeing daily operations to ensure efficient planning, repairs, and maintenance activities. Success means a well-coordinated team delivering high-quality maintenance with minimal downtime.\nMaintenance Management: Lead preventive maintenance programs, manage equipment schedules, and ensure critical spares availability to maintain operational excellence. Daily tasks include monitoring maintenance workflows and troubleshooting issues.\nCompliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHACT, SANS 10142, and company safety standards. Travel may be required occasionally to support other site operations or training. \nCollaboration and Support: Work closely with other departments to address maintenance needs, maintain safe working conditions, and provide operational support including overtime when necessary.\nSafety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.\nWhat you’ll bring\nJob Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:\nNational Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical) or equivalent\nRelevant trade certificate is advantageous/required\n3-5 years relevant foundry experience or manufacturing environment\nSupervisory and management experience is required\nKnowledge of Preventative & Predictive maintenance principles\nSound SHE knowledge and experience\nComputer literacy & experience with maintenance management systems are advantageous\nHT (High Tension) Electrical knowledge, training & experience advantageous\nKey Competencies:\nProblem solving and decision making\nTime management and prioritization\nMechanical / electrical troubleshooting\nCommunication & interpersonal skills\nSAP knowledge\nBudget & cost controls\nCapex planning principles and experience\nAttention to detail\nAbility to work under pressure\nWhy join Weir?\nWe live our values we think safety first, do the right thing, respect each other, aim high, and delight our customers.
