This role directly supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract, where your expertise as a Scrum Master drives cohesive delivery across geographically dispersed technical teams.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nThe IT Scrum Master will work in close partnership with the Release Train Engineer (RTE). Because our technical teams are geographically dispersed, this position will operate in an onsite, hybrid environment, facilitating collaboration across a mix of in-person and virtual team members in both Huntsville and Colorado Springs.\nThe candidate will:\nPartner directly with the RTE to define, mature, and align the Scrum Master role with program-level SAFe frameworks and Agile release trains.\nCollaborate with the RTE to design, implement, and train the IT team on customized Agile processes, helping technical staff smoothly transition to a structured Agile delivery model.\nEstablish a cohesive \"one-team\" dynamic across geographically split locations (HSV and COS) by leveraging virtual collaboration tools and maintaining an inclusive hybrid engagement model.\nFacilitate an optimized Agile battle rhythm tailored to the unique operational needs and delivery cycles of the IT and infrastructure teams.\nGuide and coach the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices to deliver high-quality IT solutions.\nAssist the Product Owner and Technical Leads with backlog maintenance, prioritizing IT initiatives, and translating technical requirements into actionable user stories.\nAssist the team by making sure all data for planning is documented into the system of record for accurate reporting and metrics development.\nDeliver metrics to the RTE on a reoccurring (weekly) basis.\nIdentify, track, and actively resolve impediments or blockers that hinder the team's ability to meet Sprint goals.\nManage and track team capacity, sprint velocity, and burn-down charts using Agile lifecycle management tools.\nFacilitate cross-team coordination and dependency management, especially when rolling out complex enterprise system upgrades or resolving break/fix activities.\nEnsure that IT service delivery and cybersecurity compliance tasks are properly integrated into the Agile workflow.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the team.\nThe successful candidate will:\nPossess a strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and mentor highly technical engineers who may be new to Agile frameworks.\nBe a collaborative partner capable of aligning team-level operations with the broader organizational vision defined by the program's RTE.\nBe highly proficient in managing remote/virtual team dynamics, ensuring active participation and communication across multiple time zones.\nBe able to quickly learn challenging IT and infrastructure concepts to better understand team impediments and technical debt.\nBe comfortable operating in an ambiguous, \"greenfield\" environment to build and document standard Agile processes from the ground up.\nEffectively function as a self-starter, identifying project risks, resource bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve team efficiency.\nHave excellent presentation, oral, and written skills to facilitate effective interchanges with senior customer management, Product Owners, and technical staff.\nHave a \"can-do\" attitude, be able to work in a very high-pace and dynamic enterprise IT environment and embrace change.\nWhat You Bring\nBasic Requirements:\nMust have 4, or more, years of general (full-time) work experienceMay be reduced with completion of advanced education\n\nMust have 2, or more, years of directly related experience acting as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager.\nMust hold a current Agile certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)).\nMust have experience using Agile management and collaboration tools (such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps) to facilitate remote and hybrid teams.\nMust have experience applying Agile methodologies to IT operations.\nMust have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance\nMust be able to obtain an active DoW Top Secret Security Clearance.\nDesired Requirements:\nHave an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.\nHave prior experience in Agile/Scrum practices within a technical team, ideally under the guidance of an RTE or Agile Coach.\nHave experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), particularly in a DoD or government contracting environment.\nHave a technical background or previous experience in System Administration, Network Engineering, or IT Service Management.\nHave experience integrating ITIL methodologies (Change, Incident, Problem management) with Agile processes.\nHave a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)\nHave familiarity with DoD cybersecurity processes, such as RMF, Secure Host Baselines, and DISA STIGs.\nHave Advanced Agile certifications (e.g.,
