In this role, you will be at the forefront of leading a team in the development and implementation of innovative solutions for critical elements supporting advanced sensing capabilities. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient, sustainable, and secure command and control of our nation's space-based defense capabilities. If you are passionate about leveraging your technical expertise to enhance our nation's security, consider this position.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nSupport Innovation:\nDevelop and design cutting-edge solutions to optimize efficiency, security, and sustainability within a team supporting Platform MDSEA frameworks.\nContribute to Technical Initiatives:\nConduct comprehensive studies and analyses, define detailed requirements, engineer preliminary and detailed platform architectures, and oversee system development for enterprise services, satellite ground systems, and operations centers (including supporting facilities).\nContribute to all phases of the Engineering Lifecycle: Support projects from initiation through requirements management, task execution, and platform system sustainment.\nSupport Implementation:\nDocument designs and create comprehensive implementation and test plans for execution by sustainment personnel.\nCollaborate and Integrate:\nDirect a cohesive partnership within the team and other engineers, system administrators, cybersecurity, test teams, project managers, software developers, network engineers, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with all relevant standards and policies.\nSupport Program Milestones:\nWork collaboratively with Project Managers to define tasks and schedules\nThe successful candidate will:\nBe able to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.\nWhat You Bring\nBasic Requirements:\nMust have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experienceMay be reduced with completion of advanced education\n\nMust have 3, or more, years of experience directly related to the support or management of IT systems engineering or architecture role/capacity within a DoD and/or commercial enterprise\nMust have a fundamental understanding of Requirements Analysis and Management principles.\nMust have a proficient understanding of the System Engineering V-Model and engineering lifecycle.\nMust have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance\nMust be able obtain an active DoW Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility\nDesired Requirements:\nHave a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field (e.g., Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering).\nHave experience with Linux administration, management, and sustainment.\nHave experience working within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) or other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.\nHave competency in developing and editing Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) (or equivalent framework).\nBe able to logically decompose complex mission systems into manageable components.\nHave experience in developing detailed implementation plans for new solutions and systems.\nHave a track record of effectively troubleshooting and applying critical thinking skills to resolve IT system dependencies, impacts, and sustainability challenges.\nBe familiar with Agile development methodologies.\nBe familiar with cloud computing (server and serverless) technologies (e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Red Hat Openshift)\nHave experience working with SysML and MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler (No Magic), IBM Rhapsody, or Sparx Enterprise Architect.\nHave 1, or more, certifications in relevant areas (e.g., INCOSE ASEP, CompTIA Security+).\nWhy LaunchTech?\nLaunchTech is built on a single standard: Excellence, Period.\nThis role puts you at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative platform solutions supporting the nation's space-based missile defense capabilities.\nWe offer:\nMedical, Dental, and Vision coverage\n401(k) with company match\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\nMission-driven work with opportunities to grow\nAnd more\nReady to Join the LaunchTech Crew?\nLaunchTech is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
