The position provides an integral role in the business analysis of the operations, business processes, use of the ERP system including maintaining cost information. The position will report directly to the CFO, support operation management of business units, work closely with the Group Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nProduct costing - material, labor, and overhead costing analysis.\nInventory control tracking and reporting to operations.\nEstimating system integrity for assigned Business units.\nSupporting Business units on budget preparations and analyzing variances\nConduct a detail financial review and lead monthly financial reviews.\nKey business partner with business unit management. This includes financial analysis, project support, payback analysis and financial modeling.\nEnsure integrity of ERP system operations data and inputs into financial reporting.\nPeriodically reviewing open POs and closed POs to ensure correct coding and auditing receipts.\nIdentify opportunities on production cost reductions and improving margins.\nReview and approve Business unit journal entries prepared by staff accountants.\nAnalyze customer profitability, mix, and cost improvement tracking. \nCapital spends justification and track achievements/results.\nAdditional duties and projects as assigned.\nSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES\nStrong written and oral communication. \nOrganization and attention to detail. \nAnalytical and problem-solving skills. \nTime management. \nSystems analysis. \nMathematical and deductive reasoning. \nCritical thinking. \nActive learning. \nREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting is required. \nExperience:\n5 years prior experience in finance, accounting or operations experience required. \nExperience with Amtech or within the corrugated industry is preferred. \nAbility to travel to various Welch companies as needed, up to 25% of time.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.\nIndividuals may need to sit or stand as needed. \nMay require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. \nReaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials during the workday. \nProper lifting techniques required. \nMay include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.\nWork Environment:\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.\nThe performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to certain manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
