This role is a great fit for someone who is strong in React Native, enjoys building awesome mobile experiences, and also has the React and Next.js skills needed to work across our web platform when needed.\nYou will help us build the next generation of our mobile experience, especially around rider and horse tracking and AI-enabled features, while also keeping our web platform reliable and well maintained. Of course you don't need to have any experience with horses or horseback riding.\nWhat you will do\nBuild, maintain, and improve our React Native mobile app\nWork in a team of frontend- and backend engineers as well as product owners and designers\nDevelop mobile-first features around tracking, training progress, and AI features\nTurn product and design direction into reliable, polished mobile UX\nMaintain and improve our Next.js web frontend where needed\nNavigate and improve an existing codebase with care and good judgment\nUse AI coding tools effectively along the entire lifecycle\nMake pragmatic technical decisions around architecture, maintainability, performance, and speed\nReview code and help improve our frontend and mobile engineering practices\nJob requirements\nAt least 3 years of hands-on experience with React Native in a professional team\nSolid experience with React and Next.js to contribute to our web platform when needed\nGood judgment around architecture, refactoring, technical debt, and maintainability\nExperience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools\nComfort with modern deployment workflows and cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS\nStrong debugging, problem-solving, and code-reading skills\nClear communication and a practical, low-ego working style\nAbility to work well and independently in a remote-first environment\nWillingness to come to the office for team events\nOpenness to feedback, learning, and continuous improvement\nFluent in German and English\nNice to have\nExperience with native iOS or Android development\nExperience mentoring other developers\nExperience in small teams with high ownership\nHow we work\nWe are a small team of highly skilled individuals, so every developer has meaningful impact.
