The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting activities including month-end close, balance sheet management, account reconciliations, reserve reviews, audit support, and compliance activities while helping drive operational excellence across the finance function.\nSuccess in this role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to balance competing priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrates sound judgment, and enjoys partnering across multiple functions to solve problems and drive business results.\nJOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements.\nOwn balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry reviews, account analyses, and month-end reporting support.\nSupport the execution and documentation of key internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance activities.\nReview and reconcile trade spend, deductions, accruals, returns reserves, and other key balance sheet provisions to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nPartner with Shared Service Centers and business leaders to resolve complex accounting, operational, customer, and vendor matters, providing guidance on financial implications and risk mitigation.\nManage external and internal audit activities, including planning, coordination, issue resolution, and evaluation of accounting impacts, while ensuring timely completion of audit requests and remediation efforts.\n Champion process improvements and transformation initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, automation, and governance across accounting operations.\nGuide and support the accounting team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nServe as a trusted business partner to Finance, Commercial, Operations, HR, Tax, IT, and Global stakeholders, providing accounting support and problem-solving expertise.\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within consumer products, retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.\nExperience supporting audits, internal controls, and compliance activities.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD) experience preferred.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to investigate issues and implement practical solutions.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated ownership mindset, attention to detail, sound business judgment, and commitment to continuous improvement.\nWe disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $100,000 -$128,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees.
