Director Product Safety\nDuration of contract: 6 months\nABOUT THE ROLE\nIn this Working Student R&D role, you will provide hands-on support to our Regulatory/Safety Team in reviewing product artworks while helping us identify opportunities to simplify and automate existing processes.\nYou will work directly with our current artwork workflows and data, gaining a practical understanding of regulatory and safety requirements and identifying where repetitive tasks, manual checks, or potential sources of error could be improved through automation or AI-supported solutions.\nThis role offers a unique combination of hands-on Regulatory/Safety work, process improvement, data analysis, and automation. Depending on your interests, a larger automation or implementation project may also be developed into a Master’s project or Master’s thesis.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nReview product artworks using ESKO workflows, ensuring regulatory and safety information is accurate, complete, and aligned with product requirements.\nCompare artwork with master data and Excel files, identifying and documenting missing or inconsistent information.\nReview Regulatory and Safety requirements to identify overlaps and opportunities to simplify existing content.\nIdentify repetitive tasks and process gaps and propose opportunities for automation and AI-supported solutions.\nSupport the development and testing of automation solutions, such as automated comparisons, data checks, or AI-assisted artwork reviews, with the potential to expand the work into a Master’s project or thesis.\nWHAT WE WANT YOU TO BRING ALONG\nCurrently studying Natural Sciences, Business Informatics, Data Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a comparable field.\nStrong attention to detail and a structured way of working, combined with a practical problem-solving mindset.\nConfidence working with Excel and digital tools.\nStrong interest in AI, automation, and process improvement.\nVery good command of both German and English.\nPreferred Qualifications\nInitial experience with data analysis, Power Automate, Python, or comparable tools would be an advantage, but is not required.\nEEO OPPORTUNITIES\nWe offer equal employment opportunity to qualified individuals without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
