You will supervise a team of Data Engineers, Data Integration Specialists and Data Analysts to build scalable, robust analytics systems to solve complex healthcare challenges.\nJob Description\nSKILLS & COMPETENCIES\nCoach and mentor the Analytics Engineering team: guiding, planning, and reviewing the team’s work.\nCollaborate with senior management to define and execute the company's data pipeline strategy, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring data governance principles are followed.\nDesign and develop ELT pipelines and transformations for publication of scalable warehouse integrations to be used for higher level analytics.\nConduct exploratory data analysis, identify patterns, trends, and outliers, and translate complex data into actionable insights and visualizations.\nDevelop and implement data models to support analytical solutions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.\nWork closely with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate analytical solutions into production systems.\nMonitor usage and performance of warehouse resources and implement creative solutions for improving performance and reducing costs of said resources\nStay updated with the latest technologies and trends in data analytics and engineering.\nJob Requirements\nEducational/Experience Requirements:\nBachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.\n7+ years of experience in data and analytic engineering, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.\n3 years of experience in health care and health plan data analysis experience preferred.\nProficiency in using data processing frameworks (e.g., Snowpipe, Fivetran), databases (e.g. Snowflake, MSSQL) and GCP cloud.\nExperience with ETL tool such as SSIS, Talend, DataFlow, or AWS Glue required.\nExperience building pipelines in Azure Data Factory required.\nExperience building API data ingestion pipeline using Python in cloud service required.\nSnowflake data processing with Tasks and Procedures, DBT and GIT experience required.\nExperience with CI/CD Terraform or DevOps required.\nKnowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms is a plus.\nStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nFluency in SQL, DBT and Snowflake. Some development experience in at least one scripting language (Python, R, etc.) is a plus.\nAdvanced knowledge of Enterprise Reporting and Analysis tools, SQL, and visual analytic applications.\nEvaluate and implement data integration technologies and tools to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.\nExperience implementing best practices for data governance and ensuring data security and compliance.\nImplement processes to monitor and improve data quality through regular data cleansing, validation, and enrichment activities.\nWork closely with analytics teams to define data requirements and create a data quality framework that supports advanced analytics, reporting, and visualization.\nFoster a data-driven culture by promoting the use of data insights to drive business decisions and innovation.\nLead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.\nFoster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge-sharing and innovation.\nStrong sense of ownership, bias for action, and drive.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication.\nStrong work ethic and attention to detail.\nPhysical and Mental Requirements\nAbility to stand/sit for extended periods.\nVisual acuity and fine motor skills.\nAbility to travel as needed.\nWork Environment\nRemote\nTravel may be required up to 15% locally or nationally\nPay Transparency\n$105,000 - $150,000 based on experience\nSponsorship Statement WellBe does not offer employment-based visa sponsorship for this position.
