We are headquartered in New Haven Connecticut, conveniently between Boston and New York, and have team members across the US.\nAbout the role\nThe Senior Data & BI Analyst is responsible for helping Wellinks transform complex data into meaningful insights and actionable business decisions. This role combines hands-on data analysis, business intelligence, and data storytelling to uncover trends, identify opportunities, measure performance, and help teams optimize how they work.\nThe Senior Data & BI Analyst partners closely with leaders across Enrollment, Clinical, Operations, Product, and Technology to answer important business questions, define meaningful KPIs, build trusted reporting, and translate complex analyses into clear recommendations. This individual will also help expand self-service access to data and contribute to a more data-driven culture across Wellinks.\nResponsibilities:\nAnalyze clinical, operational, enrollment, engagement, and financial data to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, and opportunities\nBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that help teams understand and improve performance\nTranslate complex analyses into clear insights, recommendations, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders\nPartner with business leaders to define KPIs, measurement frameworks, and success criteria for key initiatives\nEvaluate the impact of operational, product, and clinical workflow changes\nBuild and maintain reliable analytical datasets and business logic using SQL and dbt\nEnable self-service analytics by creating trusted, understandable data models and reporting\nIdentify data quality issues and collaborate with Data Engineering and other teams to improve data reliability\nProactively explore company data to surface insights and opportunities that stakeholders may not know to ask about\nKey Competencies:\nAdvanced SQL skills and strong understanding of relational data\nStrong experience with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)\nAbility to independently take an ambiguous business question from exploration through analysis, recommendation, and presentation\nExperience developing KPIs, dashboards, analytical models, and measurement frameworks\nStrong quantitative reasoning and ability to distinguish meaningful signals from noise\nFamiliarity with dbt, modern analytics engineering practices, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift\nExperience working with healthcare, clinical, population health, or patient engagement data\nKey Behaviors:\nHighly curious and proactive, with a tendency to investigate the \"why\" behind the numbers\nStrong business judgment and ability to connect analysis to actionable decisions\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nComfortable presenting findings to executives and cross-functional stakeholders\nStrong sense of ownership and accountability\nAble to balance analytical rigor with speed and practical business needs\nCollaborative and comfortable working across technical, clinical, and operational teams\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field\n5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a related role\nDemonstrated experience using SQL to analyze complex datasets\nExperience building dashboards and communicating analytical findings to stakeholders\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
