Our Client Accounting & Advisory Services Team provides full-service accounting support, state and local tax services, consulting on accounting software, and strategic advisory services for small-to-medium sized companies across a variety of industries. You will have immediate client contact, playing a key role in building strong relationships while delivering high-quality services. We offer a superior work environment, including an open-door atmosphere, unlimited growth opportunities, and limited travel.\nThe role is part-time with a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week, with the potential for the position to grow to full-time in the future.\nKey Responsibilities\n· Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts\n· Reconcile subsidiary accounts to control accounts\n· Post periodic transactions and adjusting journal entries to accounting software\n· Prepare payroll and payroll tax returns\n· Prepare sales and other local tax returns i.e. 1099s\n· Prepare periodic financial statements and customized financial reports\n· Maintain and review General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable\n· Advise clients on accounting, tax, and financial matters\n· Analyze financial statements for trends, opportunities, and areas of improvement\n· Assist clients with QuickBooks Online set-up, training, and troubleshooting\n· Utilize technology platforms in conjunction with QuickBooks Online (i.e. HubDoc, Bill, Double)\n· Collaborate closely with clients and internal team members to ensure goals and deadlines are met\nRequirements\nExperience\nMinimum of 3 years of industry-related experience required, preferably in a professional services or public accounting firm\nHands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required\n\nEducation\nDegree in Accounting required\n\nSkills and Abilities\nProactive, clear and effective communication (both written and oral).\nStrong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and tax principles\nProficiency with other cloud-based accounting technology and Microsoft Office products\nDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering quality work\nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines\nDemonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude\nExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities\nA desire for continuous professional growth and development\nBenefits\n· Dress for your day policy\n· Fun firm activities\n· Coaching/mentorship as well as continuing education courses\n· Flexible work arrangements possible if certain conditions are met\nWhy WellsColeman?\nAt WellsColeman, we C-A-R-E.
