We are seeking a highly skilled and talented individual who will be part of an agile group of professionals working across businesses and functions to provide deep analysis and strategic solutions that enable existing and new businesses to grow and expand. Specifically, we are looking for someone with strong analytical acumen and the ability to define hypotheses and assumptions, outline data requirements, gather and analyze data, and apply business P&L levers (revenue, cost, margin, etc.) to derive insights and refine strategies.\nIn this role, you will:\nParticipate in low- to moderately complex initiatives by utilizing data-driven, advanced analytical, and statistical techniques to identify trends, diagnose problems, and build actionable insights and recommendations.\nReview and analyze business, operational, and technical assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives to convert data into meaningful insights and recommendations.\nExercise independent judgment to guide medium-risk business hypothesis generation.\nPresent recommendations and insights for resolving low- to moderately complex business needs and problems; exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in analytical capabilities.\nCollaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders to drive recommendations and strategies based on data-driven analytical insights, trends, and patterns.\nConduct low- to moderately complex predictive analytics to build actionable insights and recommendations.\nDesign and apply algorithms to mine large sets of structured and unstructured data from various sources.\nEnsure data completeness, accuracy, and consistency through data cleaning and validation.\nInterpret and analyze data using advanced analytical modeling methods and programming techniques to identify patterns that lead to recommendations, solve business problems, and influence business decisions and strategies.\nRequired Qualifications:\n2+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.\nMaster's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or Computer Science.\n2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Insight Generation, and/or Data Science.\n2+ years of experience in large banks or financial services organizations, translating business problems into actionable insights, with demonstrated success in delivering strategic recommendations and business impact.\nDesired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or Business/Social and Behavioral Sciences with a quantitative emphasis.\nExperience in data analysis, data extraction/manipulation, and data loading processes using SQL, Teradata, database structures, and data warehouses.\nStrong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data analysis and utilization of analytical libraries.\nEffective communication skills, with the ability to convey results, concepts, challenges, and recommendations to partners, peers, and non-technical business audiences through executive-ready presentations.\nExperience with statistics and foundational statistical modeling techniques, including regression, decision trees, random forests, clustering, and segmentation.\nStrong storytelling capabilities to develop innovative analytical approaches and data visualizations that effectively communicate insights to target audiences.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to identify opportunities and proactively propose solutions to business partners.\nJob Expectations:\nLanguages: SQL, Python, SAS/R, PySpark.\nBI Tools: Tableau, Power BI, Excel.\nGood knowledge of conducting strategic analyses using customer profiling, business segmentation, heuristics, inferential statistics, and RFM analysis.\nExperience working with machine learning techniques such as Segmentation, Regression, Decision Trees, Forecasting, and Clustering.\nFinancial services industry experience.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nPosting End Date:\n1 Nov 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.\nWe Value Equal Opportunity\nWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
