Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.\nIn this role, you will:\nDemonstrate strong subject matter expertise within the Software, Small and Mid-Cap sector, with a solid understanding of key companies and industry dynamics\n\nConduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets\n\nCreate and update financial models and databases\n\nAuthor, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes\n\nAttend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts\n\nCommunicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents\n\nCollaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content\n\nExercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements\n\nCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nA BS/BA or higher\n\nDirect experience in the Software, Small and Mid-Cap sector or prior equity research coverage of this industry\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important\n\nAdvanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills\n\nKnowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis\n\nKnowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry\n\nKnowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application\n\nStrong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills\n\nJob Expectations:\nUp to 10% travel\n\nObtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63 (or 66), 86, and 87 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Registration for FINRA Series 65 or 66 must be completed prior to conducting Investment Advisory business. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required.\n\nThis position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements.
