As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for providing the highest technical expertise for the planning, design, development, and implementation for Data platforms including technical communications with the vendor. This role will also provide oversight, mentoring, and leadership to less experienced on-shore and off-shore staff. The successful candidate must be comfortable working on multiple fast moving projects simultaneously, collaborating with application architects, application teams, information security teams, and leadership at all levels of the organization.\nResponsibilities for this role in working on an enterprise team supporting large, highly complex Databases include the following:\nAbility to see the big picture and influence future direction in alignment with DTI enterprise goals.\nGenerative AI - Embrace generative ai practices and help implement AI enabled search and tools.\nDesign and develop Data Pipelines and Data Integration processes to meet the requirements of high tier applications.\nAutomation - Streamline Database change deployment using tools like Liquibase that scale with technology changes.\nDesign and develop migration strategies for RDBMS to NOSQL solutions\nDesign and develop end-to-end Data solutions including design of data models, scripts and tools for automation.\nGain technical depth and breadth with new features, products, and tools to serve as a subject matter expert for the DTI organization.\nDrive adoption of standard operational practices to deliver highly available solutions.\nAbility to take a lead role in projects that have a broad impact. Strong Customer Service Focus.\n Required Qualifications:\n5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n5+ years of supporting highly available distributed Databases\n5+ years of working in a RHEL environment\n4+ years of MongoDB, MongoDB Ops Manager experience\n3+ years of Automation using Liquibase with Harness integration for Databases\n2+ years of working in the OCP (Open Shift Container Platform) or another virtualization environment with python and ETL processing\n2+ years of Experience working with Big Data in Pyspark, GCP Bigquery, Hive/Hadoop ecosystem, Startburst or Dremio data virtualization.\n3+ years of Developing Mongo queries, aggregation pipelines and reporting.\n2+ years of supporting Cassandra, Yugabyte and Oracle Database environments.\n Desired Qualifications:\n5+ years supporting Data Engineering implementations in a regulated banking or financial industry.\nExperience with OCP (Open Shift Container) and Python scripting.\nExperience with automation tools - Liquibase and integration with Harness \nExperience supporting MongoDB Databases scaled across data centers.\nExperience using Mongo Shell and Mongo utilities for data transformation and processing.In-depth understanding of MongoDB HA strategies, including replica sets\nExperience with setting and tuning MongoDB system parameters\nExperience using MongoDB Ops Manager\nExperience with Cassandra, Yugabyte and OracleExperience with designing LDAP roles, users, privileges keeping Enterprise Security rules in place.\nExperience with Python, Shell scripting\nExperience with Jira and Agile\nStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills\nJob Expectations:\nMust be based in one of the above locations or willing to relocate at your own expense.\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position.\nThis position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days onsite.\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. \nPay Range\nReflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
