This role will provide technical leadership and be an individual contributor to firewall engineering teams that design and deploy network security infrastructure.\nThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading the certification, design and deployment of next generation firewall technologies. In addition, the candidate should also have demonstrated experience in automating processes including product builds, operational maintenance, and customer integration and onboarding.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead the evaluation of vendor proposals, new and existing security designs, and emerging firewall technologies and systems.\nLead teams including business partners and vendors to solve problems and design information and network security solutions.\nDesign, document, plan, coordinate, and implement complex information security solutions.\nCreate fit for purpose template configurations to ensure consistent deployment of firewall infrastructure.\nAct as the lead collaborator between the firewall management, engineering, architecture and certification teams to ensure best in class perimeter security designs.\nServe as a high-level technical firewall resource on large-scale network and/or systems/applications issues.\nWork with teams to develop automation of firewall rules and infrastructure deployment.\nServe as technical lead responsible for specific areas of computer security incident response activities to include intrusion detection monitoring, network security architecture.\nDirect or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.\nProvide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards.\nReview and correlate security logs\nUtilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.\nIdentify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.\nCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers.\nLead a team to achieve objectives.\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience.\n3+ years of experience managing large scale enterprise firewall deployment solutions.\n3+ years' experience with networks and networking.\n3+ years' experience with information security and security principles.\n3+ years' experience with and knowledge of firewall and IPS technologies.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience working with automation/management tools such as XSOAR, Skybox, Ansible.\nKnowledge of programming and scripting languages (Python).\nExperience working with Fortinet, Checkpoint and Palo Alto.\nIndustry recognized security certifications.\nKnowledge of regulations required in a financial environment.\nExperience writing technical procedures, references, and other documentation.\nExperience working with cross functional teams.\nExpectations:\n-This position requires working from one of the posted locations in a hybrid environment.\n-This position is not available is not available for Visa sponsorship\n-There is no relocation allowance for this position\nPosting End Date:\n6 Nov 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.\nWe Value Equal Opportunity\nWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
