This role requires strong software engineering expertise combined with deep knowledge of observability technologies, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise-scale monitoring solutions.\nIn This Role, You Will\nLead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise observability and distributed tracing solutions.\nDesign and develop cloud-native applications, APIs, and services using Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices architectures.\nBuild scalable telemetry platforms and services supporting enterprise monitoring, tracing, and performance analytics.\nDesign and implement OpenTelemetry instrumentation standards, frameworks, and telemetry collection architectures.\nDevelop and maintain tracing pipelines, collectors, gateways, and associated observability infrastructure.\nDeploy and support applications and services on Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.\nDevelop automated solutions for instrumentation, telemetry onboarding, platform upgrades, compliance validation, and operational monitoring.\nBuild reusable software components that enable enterprise adoption of observability standards.\nDrive integration of observability platforms with enterprise automation, incident management, and operational tooling.\nEvaluate and implement AI-driven observability capabilities including anomaly detection, intelligent troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.\nInfluence enterprise observability strategy, standards, and best practices.\nMentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple initiatives and teams.\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n\nDesired Qualifications\n5+ years of Software Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related experience.\n5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.\n3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise observability platforms including Splunk Observability Cloud (SignalFx/SPLOC), AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.\nStrong experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs.\nDeep understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, telemetry pipelines, and observability concepts.\nExperience deploying and supporting applications on Kubernetes and containerized platforms.\nExperience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases including data modeling and performance optimization.\nExperience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.\nStrong understanding of enterprise monitoring, application performance management, and reliability engineering practices.\nProven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence engineering decisions across organizations.\nExperience implementing OpenTelemetry solutions at enterprise scale.\nExperience designing and operating large-scale observability platforms.\nKnowledge of GenAI, LLMs, AI Agents, AIOps, and intelligent operational workflows.\nExperience integrating observability platforms with ServiceNow, automation frameworks, and incident management solutions.\nExperience with OpenShift and cloud-native platform engineering.\nExperience supporting large-scale modernization, migration, or cloud transformation initiatives.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and DevSecOps practices.\nIndustry certifications in Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nPosting End Date:\n28 Oct 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.\nWe Value Equal Opportunity\nWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
