The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical leadership, deep domain knowledge in capital markets, and a passion for building scalable, resilient software solutions using modern technologies such as Angular, Java, Spring, Kafka, and Apache Ignite.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead complex initiatives on selected domains\nEnsure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk\nDefine opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost\nLead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies\nResolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature\nLead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives\nMentor less experienced software engineers\nCollaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers\nLead team to achieve objectivesDesign low latency eTrading, pricing, and risk applications for Fixed Income asset classes such as Structured Products, Credit, and Municipal Bonds\nImplement low-latency, HTTP and WebSocket-based real-time micro UIs using JavaScript/Typescript, Angular, AgGrid, and other UI libraries\nDevelop backend services using Java, Spring Framework, Kafka, and Ignite\nUtilize build tools such as Maven or Gradle and ensure code quality using SonarQube.\nProvide technical support and resolve issues related to supported applications\nCreate test data and conduct interface and unit tests.\nDesign, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices\nPartner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n3+ years of Capital Markets Fixed Income domain\n3+ years of Bond Pricing, Bond Risk, Bond PnL, and Position Management\n3+ years of experience in high-performance programming using Java or Python\n3+ years of experience in full stack development using Angular/Typescript for front-end and Java with Spring Framework for back-end\n3+ years of experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and stream processing\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience using OpenShift / Kubernetes container platforms\nExperience designing and delivering cloud-native, microservices-oriented solutions at enterprise scale in financial services or regulated sectors\nExperience with test automation using tools such as Selenium.\nStrong understanding of performance and stress testing web UIs using Chrome DevTools\n5+ years of experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and stream processing\n5+ years of experience with Apache Ignite for in-memory computing.\n5+ years of experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle\n5+ years of experience with code quality tools like SonarQube\n5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong understanding of front-end and back-end development\n5+ years of experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, Elastic, or Open Telemetry\nJob Expectations:\nThis position offers a hybrid work schedule\nThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position\nPosting Locations:\n300 S Brevard St., Charlotte, NC 28202\nPay Range\nReflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
