training, military experience, education\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperienced in monitoring, automation, and cloud platforms, with a proven track record of designing and supporting highly scalable, reliable, and secure API ecosystems.\n\nJob Expectations:\nPlatform Operations & Daily Support: Lead daily support operations for Apigee OPDK, Apigee Hybrid,to ensure platform uptime, stability, and performance.\n\nManage and maintain core Apigee components such as Routers, Message Processors, MART, Synchronizer, UDCA, Postgres, Zookeeper, Cassandra, and runtime infrastructure.\n\nLead operational activities for IBM DataPower, including domain management, cryptographic objects, firmware upgrades, service configuration, and cluster maintenance.\n\nIncident Management & RCA: Own and resolve P1/P2 high-severity incidents with quick response and deep technical troubleshooting.\n\nPerform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA), document post-incident reports, and drive permanent corrective actions.\n\nLead communication handling during major incidents and coordinate with cross-functional teams.\n\nSupport Process Management: Oversee ticket lifecycle management, SLA adherence, and escalation handling across support tiers.\n\nAct as the primary technical liaison between Support, Engineering, Cloud, Network, Security, and Architecture teams.\n\nDeployment & Release Support: Support API proxy deployments, shared flows, developer portal configurations, and runtime troubleshooting.\n\nDebug policy-level issues (JavaCallout, JS, Python, OAuth, JWT, KVM, Target Server configs, mTLS, etc.).\n\nCollaborate with engineering to validate release changes, certify upgrades, and improve CI/CD pipelines.\n\nUpgrades, Patching & Performance: Plan and execute version upgrades, patching cycles, infrastructure migrations, and configuration refactoring.\n\nConduct capacity planning, performance profiling, load testing support, and platform tuning.\n\nOversee TLS certificate renewals, key management, rotation, and platform security posture.\n\nDataPower Operations: Operate and support IBM DataPower Gateways, including configuration of Multi-Protocol Gateways (MPGW), WS-Proxies, Cryptographic profiles, XSLT, GatewayScript services.\n\nTroubleshoot runtime, policy, routing, and security issues on DataPower appliances.\n\nAutomation, IaC & Reliability Engineering: Expertise knowledge in Ansible, python, Unix scripting and contribute automating tasks like Monitoring & alerting, Deployment workflows, Health checks, Incident response, Config validation.\n\nImplement reliability improvements through Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps.\n\nDevelop automated recovery scripts and tools to reduce manual operational overhead.\n\nObservability, Monitoring & Alerting: Establish and maintain observability using: Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace / AppDynamics\n\nBuild dashboards for SLIs/SLOs, latency, error analysis, backend performance, and capacity metrics.\n\nImprove proactive alerting to reduce mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to recover (MTTR).\n\nGovernance, Change & Architectural Engagement: Participate in design discussions, architectural reviews, API governance activities, and platform modernization initiatives.\n\nWork with CAB (Change Advisory Board) for
