This role is primarily responsible for the strategy, architecture, engineering, and operational excellence of Trader Voice, IPPC, Cloud9, enterprise telephony, SIP/VoIP infrastructure, voice recording, and communications compliance platforms that support business-critical communications across trading and front-office environments.\n\nIn addition to voice technologies, this role provides technical leadership for the broader collaboration ecosystem, including Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services. The Principal Engineer will define technology roadmaps, establish engineering standards, drive modernization initiatives, and ensure collaboration and communication platforms remain secure, resilient, compliant, and highly available.\n\nLead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking\nTranslate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions\nMaintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in enterprise collaboration, unified communications, or workplace technology engineering.\n2+ years supporting financial services, capital markets, or trading environments.\nExpert-level knowledge of VOIP and trader voice platforms.\nDeep expertise in:Hands-on experience with Cloud9 trader communications platforms.\nTrader Voice platforms\nIPPC technologies\nSIP and VoIP protocols\nVoice recording solutions\nCommunications compliance systems\n\nStrong experience with:Microsoft Teams\nTeams Phone\nExchange Online\nSharePoint Online\nEntra ID\nEnterprise telephony and voice technologies\n\nExpert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.\nAdvanced experience with PowerShell automation and Microsoft Graph APIs.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience within large global financial institutions.\nExperience with:\nCloud 9\nIPC\nAudioCodes\nRibbon SBCs\nDirect Routing\nExperience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native services.\nFamiliarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps practices.\nKnowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to communications retention and recording.\nPosting End Date:\n9 Oct 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.\nWe Value Equal Opportunity\nWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
