The Principal Engineer partners with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, product, and business leaders to accelerate cloud transformation while maintaining security, governance, resilience, and regulatory compliance.\n\nIn this role, you will:\nDefine the target-state architecture for cloud-native data, analytics, AI/ML, and Agentic AI platforms\nEstablish engineering standards, reference architectures, reusable patterns, and technical governance across the enterprise\nDrive modernization of legacy data platforms into scalable cloud-native ecosystems\nLead technology evaluations and strategic adoption of emerging public cloud capabilities\nArchitect and scale enterprise lakehouse, data mesh, streaming, and real-time analytics platforms\nDefine standards for data ingestion, transformation, governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality\nEnable self-service data products and analytics capabilities across business lines\nLead the development of Agentic AI solutions that automate engineering, operations, governance, and analytics workflows\nDefine enterprise frameworks for AI agents, orchestration, reasoning engines, MCP-based integrations, and human-in-the-loop controls\nArchitect AI-enabled automation for:Data onboarding\nPipeline generation\nMetadata enrichment\nPolicy enforcement\nData quality validation\nIncident remediation\nOperational intelligence\n\nEstablish standards for responsible AI, explainability, model governance, and auditability\nProvide technical leadership across public cloud services including compute, storage, networking, security, AI, analytics, and DevOps ecosystems\nDrive platform reliability, scalability, resiliency, observability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence\nPartner with engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform automation, and self-service capabilities\nEstablish SLOs, reliability metrics, and engineering KPIs\nPartner with Cyber Security, IAM, Risk, Audit, and Regulatory Compliance teams\nEnsure cloud platforms meet enterprise security, governance, privacy, and regulatory standards\nArchitect secure-by-design and compliance-by-design platform capabilities\nDrive implementation of AI governance controls for enterprise-scale Agentic AI adoptio\nDesign high-performance, secure, and cost-efficient cloud data ecosystems supporting regulatory and business requirements\nRequired Qualifications:\n7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n7+ years designing enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms\n5+ years delivering AI/ML, Generative AI, or Agentic AI solutions in complex enterprise environments\nProven experience leading enterprise-wide cloud transformation initiatives\nDesired Qualifications:\nDeep expertise in one or more public cloud platforms:Google Cloud Platform (preferred)\nMicrosoft Azure\nAmazon Web Services\n\nStrong experience with:Data Lakehouse architectures\nBigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Starburst, or equivalent platforms\nStreaming and event-driven architectures\nData governance, metadata, lineage, and catalog solutions\nKubernetes and container platforms\nInfrastructure as Code and DevOps automation\n\nAI & Agentic AI Expertise\n\nExperience designing enterprise AI platforms and MLOps frameworks.\nLarge Language Models (LLMs)\nRetrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)\nAgentic AI architectures\nMulti-agent systems\nVector databases\nModel evaluation and monitoring\nMCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystems\nExperience implementing production-grade AI governance and controls\nAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related field\nIndustry certifications in public cloud, data engineering, AI/ML, or security.\nExperience in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance\nContributions to industry standards, patents, open-source projects, or published technical thought leadership\nJob Expectations:\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship\nTelecommuting is not an option for this position\nThis position offers a hybrid work schedule\nRelocation assistance in not available for this position\nPay Range\nReflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
