This role will be responsible for developing core platform capabilities that support network performance analytics, capacity intelligence, application visibility, network experience measurement, and data-driven operational insights.\nThe engineer will work closely with network engineers, architects, data engineers, platform engineers, and business stakeholders.\nThis position offers a unique opportunity to influence the architecture and development of an enterprise-scale analytics platform built on modern software engineering principles, API-first design, automated data pipelines, observability, and cloud-native technologies.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and technical deliverables across multiple development efforts..\n\nContribute to strategic planning activities and help shape long-term technology solutions and engineering roadmaps.\n\nDesign, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain scalable applications, services, APIs, and data-driven solutions.\n\nBuild reusable software components, integration frameworks, and automation capabilities that improve operational efficiency.\n\nEvaluate technical challenges and recommend solutions based on software engineering best practices, architecture standards, and business requirements.\n\nResolve complex technical issues while ensuring reliability, performance, maintainability, and security of delivered solutions.\n\nCollaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and technology partners to deliver high-quality technology solutions.\n\nParticipate in architecture reviews, design discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making processes.\n\nDrive engineering excellence through automated testing, software quality practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nLead projects and serve as a technical escalation point while mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers.\n\nSupport observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support activities to ensure application stability and operational effectiveness.\n\nContribute to software delivery automation, release management, and engineering lifecycle best practices.\n\nLead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n\n4+ experience developing applications using JavaScript and Python\n\nExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices\n\nExperience with source control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines\n\nExperience working with containerized applications and cloud-native architectures\n\nExperience building analytical, reporting, observability, or telemetry-driven solutions\n\nStrong understanding of software design patterns, application architecture, and secure coding practices\n\nExperience troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues\n\nDesired Qualifications:\n4+ years of software engineering experience in large enterprise environments\n\nExperience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container platforms\n\nExperience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems\n\nExperience designing scalable APIs, services, and backend applications\n\nExperience with MongoDB, SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar database technologies\n\nExperience implementing DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks\n\nStrong understanding of system resiliency, high availability, and performance optimization\n\nExperience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across projects\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\n\nJob Expectations:\nPartner effectively across engineering, infrastructure, architecture, security, and business teams\n\nMaintain high standards for software quality, reliability, security, and operational supportability\n\nFollow enterprise development standards, architecture guidelines, and compliance requirements\n\nContribute to technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering planning activities\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency\n\nDemonstrate a strong commitment to innovation, technical excellence, and customer-focused solution delivery\n\nPosting End Date:\n2 Oct 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.\nWe Value Equal Opportunity\nWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
