Explore opportunities with us for a career in a supportive environment where you can learn and grow.\n\nIn This Role, You Will\n\nManage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributor engineer roles with low to moderate complexity and less experienced managers who are responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technology\nEnsure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release\nEngage with architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture to enable application migration paths to target architecture; for example, cloud readiness, application modernization and data strategy\nFunction as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning\nIdentify and recommend opportunities for driving resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards\nAct as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams to make decisions and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvement culture\nBuild engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed\nInterpret, develop, and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with low to moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk\nCollaborate and consult with the Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices\nInteract directly with third party vendors and technology service providers\nManage allocation of people and financial resources for technology engineering including career development and performance management for engineers and managers on the team\nHire, mentor and guide talent development of direct reports to build the skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for the supported product areas/products\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n\n5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education\n2+ years of Leadership experience\n\nDesired Qualifications:\n\nSolid hands-on or working knowledge of programming languages and technologies such as .NET, and Python, along with CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices \nSolid background in system design, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.\nExperience with Kafka, relational/NoSQL databases, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD.\nStrong understanding of engineering best practices and production support.\nProven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.\nAbility to operate as both a technical leader and people manager.\nStrong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across Product Management, User Experience, DevOps, Line of Business (LOB) users, and external vendors.\nExperience with observability and monitoring tools including Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana.\nFamiliarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, and ticketing systems like JIRA.\nBachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in a technology-related field or an equivalent advanced degree.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.\nDemonstrated experience driving AI-assisted software engineering and engineering productivity initiatives. \nStrong understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Governance.\n\nJob Expectations:\n\nThe position requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Architecture, and Business teams, to define vision, resolve dependencies, and ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
