This role serves as a central point of contact between hospital clients, payers, physicians, and clinical reviewers to ensure authorization requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while delivering exceptional customer service.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate authorization requests from intake through final payer determination\nAssign cases to clinical reviewers and monitor progress through completion\nSubmit authorization requests and supporting documentation to payers\nAnswer inbound calls and provide front-line support for the team\nMaintain accurate records and ensure all information is documented appropriately\nSupport process improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience\n0-2 years of relevant work experience\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a healthcare or healthcare operations environment\nLPN, Medical Assistant (MA), or other clinical licensure/certification preferred\nKnowledge of medical terminology\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products\nCustomer service experience\nJob Expectations:\nWilling to work additional or irregular hours as needed\nMust work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information\nMust be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time\nWellSky is where independent thinking and collaboration come together to create an authentic culture.
