You own reliability, data integrity, and the handling of sensitive data, and you turn one-off solutions into reusable platform capability.\nWelltower is a global leader in wellness-focused and healthcare real estate. This is a hands-on AI engineering role for someone who wants to build from the ground up inside a company with real scale behind it.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, clean, and structure data into a usable form\nBuild the model and agent orchestration layer, and the APIs that applications consume\nTurn patterns hand-rolled in the field into reusable platform primitives so future work delivers more without proportional headcount\nEstablish data quality frameworks and automated testing to ensure data integrity and reliability\nOwn reliability, data integrity, and access control\nImplement data governance practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related technical field\n6+ years in backend, data, or ML infrastructure engineering, shipping production systems at scale\nStrong data engineering depth: pipelines, transforms, and modeling messy real-world data into usable structure\nExperience building and operating APIs and services that other engineers build on\nHands-on with LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, or model serving in production\nRigor around data security and access control, ideally with regulated or sensitive data\nBased in the NYC metro area and able to work on-site\nCOMPENSATION\nSalaries may vary by location. The base salary range for this role in New York is $160,000 to $220,000.
