This position will be responsible for analyzing market data, conducting appraisals using cost/income/sales approaches, and file appeals to reduce property tax liabilities, and work with tax authorities to ensure equitable assessments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute directly to the team's efficiency and accuracy, leaving a lasting impact on Welltower's tax function.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist with the administrative process of property tax appeals and document management in WELL systems\nProcess data entry into WELL systems and manage data capture for periodical reports to internal stakeholders and external customers\nSupport the assessment, valuation, and legal challenge of property taxes for real or personal property\nPerform independent market, income, and cost analysis to determine fair market value\nIdentify over-assessed properties, file tax appeals, and negotiate with taxing authorities\nReview tax assessments, track appeal status, and ensure accurate tax projections for budgeting\nPrepare detailed valuation reports, support documentation, and evidence for hearings\nCommunicate with internal stakeholders, operators, attorneys, and consultants regarding assessment discrepancies\nAnalyze market data, conduct appraisals using cost/income/sales approaches\nOTHER DUTIES\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of this employee for this job.
