Cook is responsible for the day to day preparation and handling of food products within the Ed’s Bowling kitchen.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrepare food in a manner that is compliant with Food Safe standards and assist the Kitchen Supervisor in the control of labor and food costs.\nEnsure customers are served their food in a prompt and courteous manner that exceeds their expectations.\nMaintain proper food portioning and presentation controls for optimal customer service.\nMeet with Kitchen supervisor on priorities regarding the food service.\nConduct food /ingredients inventories as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor to ensure the kitchens are adequately stocked.\nEnsure that weekly freezer inventory is done and all par stocks are at the proper levels.\nEnsure kitchen equipment is left in good working order for the next shift including cleaning, ensuring equipment is turned off, and noting all needed repairs.\nEnsure the kitchens are clean and always kept tidy and ensure food quality is at or above standard.\nOther duties as required.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nPrevious cooking experience in a setting similar to Ed’s Bowling. \nStrong working knowledge of food preparation and customer service expectations.\nPossess strong interpersonal and communication skills.\nPossess a valid food safety certificate(s) or a willingness to be trained.\nFamiliar with food and kitchen inventory procedures.\nTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:\nThis is a part time position that requires flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.\nMust be able to pass basic security
