This includes supporting the safe and efficient operation of amusement rides, lighting systems, pump motor controls, and other critical infrastructure in areas such as Galaxyland, World Waterpark, Deep Sea Adventure (DSA), and the Aquariums.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform routine and preventive maintenance on rides and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety.\nTroubleshoot and repair ride control systems, including interpreting fault codes on PLCs and reading electrical/electronic schematics.\nCarry out new electrical installations in compliance with the Alberta Electrical Code.\nMaintain and replace lighting throughout Parks & Attractions areas.\nWork with and become familiar with equipment such as pump motor controls and ride-specific electronics.\nConduct electrical repairs for various park equipment (e.g., drills, welders, extension cords).\nOperate aerial lifts and work safely at heights and in confined spaces.\nParticipate in annual ride inspections and complete required documentation.\nFollow all safety protocols and mall policies.\nOther duties as assigned.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nValid Alberta Journeyperson Electrician Certification.\nMinimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial, amusement park, or commercial facility environment.\nExperience with electronics, PLCs, and control systems is considered an asset.\nProficiency in the safe use of tools and equipment such as aerial work platforms, man lifts, power tools, and test instruments (e.g., multimeters, meggers).\nAbility to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills under time-sensitive conditions.\nPhysically capable of performing demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items weighing between 10–100 lbs.\nTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:\nRegular shift: 5 days/week, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (weekends and evenings as scheduled).\nParticipation in an on-call rotation (1-week duration, company phone provided).\nExposure to varying environments (humid, hot, noisy, high-risk areas).\nThis position has a starting wage of $39.50/hour.\nMust successfully pass a basic security
