We’re passionate about providing healthcare professionals the most valuable and complete solutions to improve hospital efficiency and enhance patient care.\nOverview\nJob Summary\nThe Senior Manager, Warehouse & Inventory Control manages staff performing warehouse and distribution activities as well as inventory analysis, cycle count programs and associated key performance indicators (KPI) such as, but not limited to, receiving, handling, storing, and distributing material within a regulated manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nKey Accountabilities\nEstablish operational procedures for warehouse activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and storage of materials, maintaining inventory location control, adhering to first in first out (FIFO) methods for storing and shipping product.\nMaintain appropriate inventory levels of all packaging supplies (ex. corrugated boxes, shrink wrap, labels, cushioning).\nMaintain housekeeping standards for storage of materials according to the Surgical & Medical Manufacturing Industry.\nEnsure warehouses accommodate proper storage and protection for materials with special storage requirements.\nPrepare and approve work orders for repairs and purchase order requisitions for replacement of equipment.\nConsult with cross-functional department heads to ensure warehouse activities are appropriately supported and that all internal and external customer requirements are met. \nEnsure proper disposal of used or damaged products according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations. \nManage warehouse safety according to all relevant regulating agencies’ requirements. \nParticipate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.\nDevelop project plans and standard operating procedures; effectively communicate plans and procedures to personnel. \nEvaluate and promote work efficiencies in order to gain productivity opportunities.\nManage expenses to remain within the department budget.\nIdentify and negotiate transportation carrier and outside storage opportunities as needed.\nIdentify and set measurements in place for continuous improvements.\nInventory analysis and cycle counting.\nKPI’s related to daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, scrap dollars, product mix, receipts, kanban replenishment, refrigeration space analysis, order accuracy, completion rates, etc.\nNetworking/Key Relationships\nManufacturing Production DepartmentsDaily interactions with all departments\n\nManaging flow of material.\nPlanningDaily interactions.\n\nManaging flow of material to production.\nBuyersDaily interactions\n\nManaging flow of incoming material.\nR & DOccasional interactions\n\nManaging flow of material.\nFinanceDaily interactions\n\nReview scrap material\nReview NC material\nReview Obsolencse\nEnsuring proper G/L codes are utilized\nExecuetive ManagementReview with VP of Ops possible scrap and proivde monthly figures of scrap.\nReview with Finance Director high dollar scrap to receive approvals to scrap.\n\nOutside Storage VendorsOccasional interactions\n\nRegulatoryOccasional, except on days of audits both for internal and external.\n\nQualifications\nMinimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience. \nMinimum of eight (8) years previous relevant warehouse experience preferred; computerized warehouse experience required. \nMinimum of four (4) years previous supervisory experience required.\nSkills & Capabilities:\nComputer literacy required; knowledge of Microsoft Office, inventory software and experience with large enterprise resource planning (ERP) system preferred.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. \nStrong planning, organizational and time management skills are required.\nAbility to research and collect data; ability to effectively design workflows and procedures accordingly.\nAbility to evaluate productivity opportunities, set measurements and report on those metrics.\nZero quality non-conformances.\n100% inventory in ERP location control.\nAbility to fulfill/ship orders within 24 hours of receipt from Customer Service.\nSupport Line-Item Fill Rate and Order Fill Rate metrics (95%, 93% respectively).\nAbility to lead activities to improve cycle count accuracy (>95%).\nAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.\nInterpersonal, communication and organizational skills.\nAbility to effectively utilize computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel); knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.\nAbility to meet commitments. \nFlexible, adaptable work behaviors; ability to manage change effectively.\nTravel Requirements:\n5% travel\nThe annual base salary range for this role is currently $150,000 to $190,000. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.\nThis role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave.
