They must understand and comply with any/all guidelines within the Quality Manual, cGMP, GDP, ISO, Housekeeping, and Departmental Compliance.\nShipping Technician - Packaging (Supply Chain)\nResponsibilities\nKey Accountabilities\nManage time effectively while adhering to and following standard work routines.\nResponsible for performing daily work activities in accordance with company safety policies, procedures and practices, as required by the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Internal Responsibility System.\nIdentify and report any unsafe working conditions.\nMaintain compliance with all applicable company policies as defined in the company Employee Handbook.\nMaintain compliance with all applicable procedures, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain a thorough understanding of, and adhere to all required safety standards / regulations and biohazardous disposal procedures in accordance with WHMIS and Ministry of the Environment regulations.\nUnderstand the principals of GMP, ISO, and SOX requirements.\nHas a general understanding of activities of all company departments.\nMeets achievement levels established for defined personal performance objectives, error accuracy rates and competency evaluations.\nDisplays ability to be an effective team member and works effectively with other members of the Commercial Operations team and the Sales team.\nReceives direction well from supervisors and managers.\nInteract cooperatively and positively with co-workers and the employees of other departments.\nSeek to achieve and maintain the highest standard of expertise, industry knowledge and professional conduct.\nMaintains a neat, organized and clean workspace and department.\nCreate and maintain accurate, legible and organized documentation of all procedures and files in accordance with standard company protocols, regulatory requirements and department requirements.\nUnderstand the operations and procedures of Commercial Operations and the related equipment including required maintenance, cleaning and operational procedures necessary to maintain GMP and ISO compliance.\nPerform all Commercial Operations related procedures within specified time frames and according to departmental and company SOP’s.\nOperate, clean, and maintain departmental equipment including walk-in’s, freezers, computers, scanners, printers, etc.\nIdentify and help troubleshoot incorrect performance of department equipment and/or processes.\nPerform administrative aspects of tasks including completing all required paperwork and forms.\nParticipate in deviation investigations, corrective and preventative action activities, implementation programs, and effectiveness verification assessments in accordance with Quality System Requirements.\nPerform inspection, documentation and verification of incoming goods as required (internally, intra-company, and dock-to-stock).\nPerform inspection, documentation, and verification of all incoming departmental supplies.\nPerform cycle counts, maintain inventory (FIFO) and complete all associated documents and records.\nComplete handling and disposal of discarded or returned product.\nPerform shipping functions including, but not limited to, picking, packing, and documentation.\nMaintain the warehouse, including but not limited to, storing/rotating supplies, re-stacking shipping cartons and organizing those areas.\nMay be required to assist personnel in other departments as required and when so assigned.\nAssist with special projects as needed.\nNetworking/Key Relationships\nWorks closely with all customer services, sales and service, as well as quality control and manufacturing departments.\nShipping Technician - Packaging (Supply Chain)\nQualifications\nMinimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:\nMinimum of High School diploma is required, and a strong ability to speak, read and write English.\nKnowledge of Windows, Microsft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.\nSkills & Capabilities:\nLanguage Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nMathmatical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole num-bers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs\nReasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished\nin written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
