With over 4 million square feet of owned and managed assets and a strong development pipeline, we continue to shape communities across Metro Vancouver.\n\nOur success is built on accountability, adaptability, strong relationships, and treating others according to the Golden Rule, while empowering our employees to do meaningful work and grow their careers.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\n\nBuilding Operations & Preventive Maintenance\nOperate, monitor, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural, elevator, and life-safety systems to ensure optimal performance.\nConduct regular building inspections and equipment rounds to identify deficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective action.\nMonitor and interpret Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire alarm panels, emergency generators, and other critical building infrastructure.\nExecute preventative maintenance programs that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.\nPerform minor repairs and maintenance, including painting, plumbing repairs, lighting replacement, pressure washing, and general building upkeep.\nWork Orders & Operational Excellence\nRespond to tenant requests and service calls in a timely and professional manner.\nManage work orders through Angus or other CMMS platforms, ensuring accurate documentation and timely completion.\nAssist with building condition assessments and prepare operational reports as required.\nIdentify opportunities to improve building performance, occupant comfort, and energy efficiency.\nVendor & Contractor Coordination\nCoordinate and oversee contractors, service providers, and trades working on site.\nEnsure work is completed safely, professionally, and in accordance with contractual standards and regulatory requirements.\nSupport maintenance projects, repairs, inspections, and capital improvement initiatives.\nTenant Experience\nDeliver exceptional customer service while building positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and visitors.\nAct as a trusted front-line representative of Wesgroup by responding professionally to inquiries and resolving issues proactively.\nComplete move-in and move-out inspections and ensure all follow-up items are addressed promptly.\nSafety & Emergency Response\nPromote and uphold Wesgroup's commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.\nSupport building emergency procedures and respond effectively to urgent operational issues and after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation.\nEnsure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company policies.\n\nWHAT YOU BRING\n3+ years of experience operating and maintaining commercial or institutional buildings.\nStrong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems.\nExperience interpreting specifications, as-built drawings, and technical documentation.\nAbility to diagnose issues, prioritize competing demands, and respond with sound judgment.\nStrong customer service and communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.\nProficiency with hand and power tools and general maintenance practices.\nExperience with CMMS software (Angus preferred) and Building Automation Systems considered an asset.\nValid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record.\nComfortable working independently across multiple locations while maintaining a high standard of service and responsiveness.\nPhysically capable of performing the requirements of the role, including extended periods of walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.\n\nEXPECTED COMPENSATION\n\nAnnual Base Salary\nThe expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 per year.
