In this role, you will support installation, configuration, monitoring, and patching of applications in Windows environments using SSO, Entra, PowerShell, and SQL Server. You will also work with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure deployments, and assist with containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes) while collaborating with teams to ensure compliance. We can offer a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.\nApply today!\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nInstall, configure, monitor and patch enterprise applications and supporting servers in Windows Server environments.\nBuild, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test and release of EAMD applications.\nAutomate deployment, configuration and routine operations tasks with PowerShell scripting.\nAdminister single sign-on (SSO) and Microsoft Entra ID integrations, application registrations and Active Directory dependencies.\nSupport application deployments and resources in Microsoft Azure alongside on-premises Windows Server and IIS hosting.\nAssist with containerized workloads, building and supporting Docker images and Kubernetes deployments.\nManage SQL Server connectivity, service accounts and configuration for application deployments in coordination with the DBA.\nImplement monitoring, logging and alerting; respond to incidents and perform root-cause analysis.\nApply security patches and configuration hardening; remediate findings from USCP cybersecurity scans and audits.\nFollow change-management processes and collaborate with development, infrastructure and security teams to keep deployments compliant.\nDocument environments, deployment procedures and runbooks; provide limited cross-training.\nParticipate in the 4-week transition and knowledge-transfer overlap with incumbent staff, including shadowing and review of existing documentation and procedures.\nProvide off-hours and weekend support for scheduled deployments and USCP special events (e.g., Presidential Inauguration, State of the Union) with advance notice.\nContribute accomplishments, issues and planned work to the monthly progress report delivered to the COR.\nProtect sensitive USCP, House and Senate information and follow USCP standards of conduct, IT policies and badge requirements.\nBACKGROUND/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE\n5+ years of relevant DevOps / systems engineering experience.\nHands-on PowerShell, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID/SSO and SQL Server experience.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline\nDESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE\nMicrosoft certifications in Azure or Windows Server (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400).\nDocker and Kubernetes experience.\nExperience in a federal or law enforcement environment\nLOCATION\nWashington, DC - USCP Facility\nHybrid - 100% on-site for first 2 months, then 2 days on-site / 3 days telework (USCP may increase on-site days)\nCLEARANCE\nMust be a US Citizen\nAbility to pass a USCP criminal history check and fingerprinting for badge access.\nCLIENT\nUnited States Capitol Police (USCP), Enterprise Applications Management Division (EAMD)\nHOURS\n40 hours per week\n8 hours per day\nEMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION\nEmployment Classification Eligibility - W2\nRELOCATION\nNot eligible for relocation benefits\nCOMPENSATION\nSalary range: $140,000 - $150,000\nBenefits: Benefits package includes options for health, dental, and vision insurance coverage; 401k contribution options.
