And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.\nJob Summary\nIn this role, you will create, modify and verify CAM programs, whilst supporting CAD activity, for the manufacture and repair of elastomer & plastic moulds, press-tools and other tooling components.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nCreation, modification and verification of 3, 4 & 5-axis programs and supporting information, for a range of processes, machine tools and CNC control programming languages\nPreparation, issuing and control of detailed 2D drawings, 3D models and associated production documentation in accordance with global industry standards and expectations\nUtilise and support CNC machine tool network\nCreate and control processes in order to accurately convey drawing and production information to all other departments\nPrepare and collate job packs to distribute to other departments\nRecord construction information and feedback from production for quality purposes, process development and resolve issues and prevent future occurrences\nComply with all corporate and local site Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and regulations\nInterface with and provide technical support to Global Design team and site production staff\nComply with all machine instructions and ensure proper use of equipment and assets\nComply with all process work instructions, control plans, maintenance and safety schedules\nAct in accordance with the Company’s Code of Conduct and Guiding Principles\nReport any near miss accidents, incidents or HSE irregularities and prevent future occurrences\nCarry out HSE and Workplace Inspections\nEnsure that your work area(s) are always kept clean and tidy\nEnsure your PPE is used and maintained correctly\nDemonstrate and use a proactive mindset in order to actively develop processes to increase automation and utilization of equipment\nDevelop programs to ensure maximum machine efficiency through the use of machine automation\nEducation\nRequired: Formal engineering apprenticeship to NVQ3 level/City and Guilds or equivalent relevant work experience\nDesirable: Higher National Certificate in Engineering Discipline\nWork Experience\nMinimum 3 years of relevant experience. Prior manufacturing experience in an industrial setting required\nExperience using SolidWorks required\nPharmaceutical industry experience is desirable\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nRequired:\nExperience in CAM programming for CNC Milling machines (3, 4 & 5-axis)\nExtensive experience in 2D & 3D CAD software and drawing/design activities\nExtensive experience of use of measuring equipment\nExtensive experience of interpreting Engineering drawings\nExperience of modern cutting tools and techniques\nExperience in conventional toolroom machinery (mills, lathes, surface grinders)\nExperienced and conversant PC use\n\n Desirable:Experience in CAM programming for CNC Lathes, Grinders, EDM and WEDM\nExperience in CADCAM applications and support applicationsSolidWorks\nEdgeCAM\nAutoCAD\nVericut\nPDMPro\n\nExperience in programming, setting & operation of CNC machinesIncl. Heidenhain, Fanuc & Mazatrol control programming languages\n\nExperience in elastomer mould, plastic mould and press-tool manufacture\nExperience in conventional toolroom machinery (mills, lathes, surface grinders)\nKnowledge and experience of other toolroom machinery (cylindrical grinders, EDM, WEDM)\nExperience of “Lean Manufacturing” techniques\nExperience in Offline programming & part verification\n\nTravel Requirements\n5%: Up to 13 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nSedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
