And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.\nJob Summary\nTo provide Engineering Technical cover for all production and site support equipment, thereby ensuring high levels of machine availability\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nFault finding and defect rectification on all production and site support equipment\nMaintenance of production and site support equipment as per the Maintenance Management System\nCorrect completion of the recording of defect rectification and maintenance\nTo modify or install equipment and machinery as required.\nLiaising with production colleagues to identify windows of opportunity for carrying out project and engineering-related work\nEnsure compliance to corporate guidelines, safety regulations and regulatory requirements\nEnsure that all spares and parts used are correctly booked out in the engineering spares system.\nLead the shift technicians in their role and work together to prioritise tasks\nEnsure that all training courses required for the role are completed.\nSupport and contribute actively in Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.\nKeep Production Supervisor and Engineering Management aware of maintenance issues and downtime.\nIdentify and complete projects for Continuous improvement and business needs.\nTo complete PPM maintenance in conjunction with the PPM Engineer\nAdditional Responsibilities\nHealth, Safety & Environment\nTo ensure that the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and other safety regulations are upheld throughout the site reporting any irregularities to your line manager.\nEnsure all work is carried out safely following both internal and mandatory codes of practice to ensure that all personnel are protected.\nReport Unsafe Occurrences, Near Miss Incidents and Accidents at the earliest opportunity following the correct procedure.\nBe compliant with any machine instructions, & responsible for the proper use of all equipment assets within the work area.\nQuality\nThe job holder is aware of his/her special responsibility for quality according to the company’s quality policy and conducts his/her activities in accordance with the company quality policy at all times.\nComply with company cGMP regulations\nOther\nTo carry out other duties as may be required from time to time by your line manager.\nEnsure functional legislative compliance.\n\nEducation\nNVQ Level 3 or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering \nWork Experience\nBasic Qualifications:\nLevel 3 Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering qualification\nTrained to BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations preferred \nExperience of industrial equipment maintenance, fault finding and defect rectification\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMechanical Engineering knowledge and understanding\nHydraulic knowledge and fault-finding ability\nExperience in Medical device industry or other regulated industry\nPLC, Robotics/PLC experience\nProficient use of Microsoft Office mandatory \nUse of CMMS systems\nTravel Requirements\n5%: Up to 13 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nMedium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.\nShift\n3 shift Rotation\nMonday to Friday\n5am - 1pm / 1pm - 9pm / 9pm - 5am\nAdditional Shift premium payable of 15%\nWest embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
