This strategic role owns execution of key learning priorities, consults with leaders and stakeholders on learning solutions, manages learning projects, facilitates programs, and supports learning strategies that improve capability, compliance, performance, engagement, and culture.\nThis role partners closely with HR, senior leaders, managers, Quality, Operations, content owners, and Learning & Development colleagues across West to identify business and performance needs, design or recommend learning solutions, lead implementation, and evaluate outcomes. Supports funding and resource planning for learning initiatives and helps drive performance enablement processes across the organization.\nTo be successful in this role, the individual must be able to work independently, manage complex priorities, influence stakeholders, lead projects, provide consultative guidance, and advocate for consistent, sustainable, and standardized learning practices.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAct as the local representative within global working teams, ensuring the implementation of global Learning & Talent Development processes while addressing site-specific learning and capability development needs.\nDevelop and execute the site's Learning & Development strategy, aligned with the global People Strategy and local business requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory training obligations.\nDesign, implement, and continuously improve training programs, learning materials, and development initiatives; mentor site trainers and advise functional teams on effective learning solutions and delivery methods.\nFacilitate global Learning & Talent Development programs and drive local adoption to support employee growth and organizational capability.\nCoordinate and enhance the New Hire Onboarding experience in partnership with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensuring effective integration and rapid workforce readiness.\nLead the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of critical competency curricula, qualification, certification, and requalification programs, ensuring employees maintain required skills and competencies.\nMonitor training effectiveness through audits and performance reviews, participate in root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to strengthen learning outcomes and compliance.\nDesign and deliver innovative learning solutions using proven instructional design methodologies, project management practices, and blended learning approaches to address site needs.\nPartner with HR and business leaders to support employee development through Individual Development Plans, career pathing, professional development discussions, and performance enablement processes, preparing employees for current and future roles.\nServe as a trusted advisor to site leadership on Learning & Talent Development strategies, capability building, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.\nLead and coordinate audit readiness activities related to training and learning processes, including training records, competency matrices, curricula, role-based assignments, certifications, requalifications, and process compliance documentation.\nManage relationships with Works Councils and employee representatives on Learning & Development topics, ensuring compliance with local labor regulations and fostering constructive social dialogue.\nSupport a culture of continuous learning, talent growth, organizational effectiveness, and business performance through strategic Learning & Development initiatives.\nPerform additional duties and projects as required to meet evolving business and organizational needs.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nEducation\nEducation: Master’s Degree in Human Resources or Training Engineering.\nExperience: 3-5 years of experience in similar roles in an international, regulated environment.\nSpeak French and English fluently.\nWell versed in Microsoft Office tools.\nWork Experience\nMinimum 5 years Experience in learning and development, training or educational role requiring identifying learning needs, developing and facilitating learning experiences, use of a learning management (e.g. SuccessFactors LMS) system to track and report on training, and engaging managers and leaders as active champions of learning. required \n Experience supervising employees and/or providing learning solutions in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical or regulated industry with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements required \nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nStrong knowledge of French training, learning, and people development regulations.\nSolid understanding of Learning & Development processes, tools, and competency management practices.\nExperience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or other regulated industries preferred.\nKnowledge of TWI and other structured training methodologies is an advantage.\nAbility to communicate and present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.\nStrong stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels with a flexible and adaptable mindset.\nExperience leading and supporting local and global cross-functional projects.\nExcellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.\nAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nExperience working with Works Councils, employee representatives, and labor unions.\nStrong learning agility and commitment to continuous professional development.\nCommitment to compliance, quality, safety, and adherence to company policies and procedures.\n\nLicense and Certifications\nTravel Requirements\n5%: Up to 13 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nSedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Total target compensation is determined using objective and gender-neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, market benchmarks, geographic location, and the scope and responsibilities of the role.\nThis position may be eligible for variable compensation and other incentive programs in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans within the country of employment.
