Production Operators will work as a team in a cell concept rotating through multiple job functions throughout the day following a playbook for optimal performance.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nUnder the supervision of a trainer or supervisor, perform the following duties:Process trimmed product through washing and drying process per site SOI’s and work instructions.\nEnsure that the equipment is set up accurately.\nEnsure continual flow of product through the module from the mold press through the trim press.\nOperate a mold press to produce molded panels of product following site SOI’s and work instructions.\nOperate a manual/automatic trim press as needed following site SOI’s and work instructions.\nProcess products through any required special treatments such as sort, silicone, chlorination, etc.\nAs needed, set up pack scales for weighing and packing of finished products and prepare carton labels for boxing and shipping.\nAlert the Area Supervisor to conditions that may prevent meeting production and quality expectations.\nAccurately maintain all required documentation and paperwork to ensure product traceability.\nInspect molded/trimmed work to ensure a quality product is being produced.\nMove materials into and out of the area as required.\nThoroughly clean and prep assigned workstations/equipment during and prior to the next available shift.\nPromotes and supports a Lean environment.\nConforms with and abides by all corporate and site-specific regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.\nExhibits regular, dependable, punctual, and predictable attendance.\nPerforms all other duties as assigned, based on business needs.\n\nEducation\nA High School Diploma/GED or current high school senior.\nMust be 18 years of age at the time of hire.\nWork Experience\nNo minimum experience is required.\n2 years of relevant manufacturing experience is preferred.\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMust possess an acute attention to detail\nAbility to apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).\nBasic computer skills, i.e. use a mouse/keyboard.\nGeneral use of a computer work station and the ability to use SAP commands is preferred.\nMust be willing and able to work as a team member and make general decisions within authorized job responsibilities.\nMust be able to train and guide others, as required.\nMust be able to read and write in English.\nTravel Requirements\n5%: Up to 13 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nMedium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.\nWest is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
