And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.\nJob Summary\nIn this role, you will act with minimum supervision to ensure that the molding and extrusion processes are operating at maximum output while maintaining highest quality.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nPrepare molds / molding press for production operation including but not limited to set-up, clean-up and conditioning runs and eccentricity checks.\nPerform or assist with molding press line clears if required.\nPerform and or assist with mold changes on all types of molding presses.\nPerform installation, removal, delivery, retrieval, transport or molds and other associated machinery and equipment; assuring that adequate materials and equipment are at the required location in order to perform this work in the safest, most effective and most efficient manner possible.\nTroubleshoot, problem solve, relieve operators, apply solution as required or requested and ensure processes are running within the predetermined control parameters. This will include making adjustments within allowable limits and/or evaluating operator techniques and/or evaluating materials to assure acceptable products.\nApply mold release or CO2 cleaning as required or requested and ensure processes are running within the predetermined control parameters to ensure the highest quality level.\nUse Infinity software to monitor flange or web thickness data.\nWork with mold cleaning to determine and optimization of various task such as: length of time between mold cleaning, the best type of surface preparation for each mold and product, and to continue to work on faster mold changeovers.\nInitiate & write Tooling Repair Request when pins, bushings, mold, or mold cavity need to be replaced. \nMix proper silicone spray when required for specific formulations.\nAssist Engineering and maintenance as requested.\nOperate Forklifts.\nPerform other work assignments as directed by the Area Manager.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nPerforms other duties as assigned based on business needs.\nConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.\nExhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent \nWork Experience\nNo min required \nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schedules, diagrams, and procedure manuals\nAbility to work weekends and overtime as required\nExperience in medical device industry or other regulated industry\nAble to apply basic concepts of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.\nTravel Requirements\nNone: No travel required\n5%: Up to 13 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nMedium-Exerting up to 50lb/22kg of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs/4kgs of force constantly to move objects.\nAdditional Requirements\nMust be able to wear and use a full-face respirator\nStand and walk for 12 hours per shift\nWilling to work overtime as needed\nFrequent bilateral grip/grasp and manual dexterity work required\nFrequent bending and twisting, squatting, pushing and pulling and working at elevated heights and in confined spaces as required by the job\nMust be able to tolerate industrial odors, heat and high temperatures, and smells on a frequent basis\nWest embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
