And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.\nJob Summary\nIn this role, you will direct operators with good leadership skills and the ability to assist the Production Shift Supervisor in the daily scheduling, operation and evaluation of production staff assigned to their work group. Coordinates and/or assists in all materials, production, quality and documentation of raw materials and finished parts with Supervisors, Material Handlers, and Production Engineering. Assists the Supervisor in training, coaching and performance evaluations. Assists as needed in the Supervisor’s absence.\nThis position is a fixed-term contract projected to last 9 months. The position offers benefits, training, and full time hours.A $1,000 bonus will be offered at 12 & 24 weeks for those that complete these milestone dates.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nAssists and directs the activities and resources of daily production assigned to the work group including: interviewing, work assignments, break scheduling and relief, and shipping and packing label generation. \nEstablishes team objectives and measurements for production, calculates and compares production results with daily production reports, and enters results in ERP system. \nCoordinates with other departments to ensure a variety of production necessities such as: documentation, labeling, packaging, part quality, equipment controls are set and functioning correctly, and line purges are completed for changes in production and/or customer specifications. \nCoordinates with the other Production Leads and Shift Supervisor on all production and personnel matters as needed to meet work objectives. \nMaintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment. Identify and resolve potential safety hazards. \nLead continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment. \nPerforms other duties as assigned based on business needs. \nConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules. \nExhibits regular, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance. \nOther duties as assigned. \nBasic Qualifications\nEducation: High School or GED required.\nExperience: Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing. \nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExperience in plastics injection molding as a competent operator/inspector.\nExperience supervising others. \nAdditional Requirements\nMust be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary. \nSitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from offices and building sites. \nIf specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues. \nHearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet. \nThe ability to lift and carry various items up to 50 pounds for manufacturing positions or 30 pounds for administrative positions is required. \nTravel Requirements\nNone: No travel required\nWhat We Offer\nNo relocation is provided for this opportunity\nSponsorship is not provided for this opportunity\nThis is an onsite position requiring the team member to be onsite 5 days per week\nShift\nShift 1 (Days): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, E/O Wednesday\nShift 2 (Nights): Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, E/O Saturday\nShift 3 (Days): Thursday, Friday, Saturday, E/O Wednesday\nShift 4 (Nights): Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, E/O Saturday\nWest embraces diversity and equality of opportunity.
