And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.\nJob Summary\nIn this role, you will perform inspection of various finished goods and raw materials, manage equipment calibrations, product disposition, and various quality assurance tasks.\nVisually inspect new and existing product and raw materials according to establish procedures or as\ninstructed. Assist with product or raw material disposition decisions.\nManages calibration tasks for equipment and gauges by performing, documenting, and tracking calibrations\nfor the Calibration Program. Coordinates with external vendors to schedule calibrations.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nVisually inspect new and existing product and raw materials according to establish procedures or as\ninstructed. Assist with product or raw material disposition decisions.\nManages calibration tasks for equipment and gauges by performing, documenting and tracking calibrations\nfor Calibration Program. Coordinates external vendors to schedule calibrations.\nObtain and analyze samples needed for inspection/evaluation of lining materials, resins, colorants, bags, etc.\nAggressively monitors email for shipping documentation and other instructions.\nMaintain files/submit data and statistical documentation for material evaluations and other related operations.\nAssist shift employees with quality issues, as needed.\nAssisting in the training of manufacturing and support personnel in quality assurance related subjects,\nIncluding certification for the QA equipment.\nPerforming internal quality audits as part of the internal audit team.\nTroubleshoot and maintain various laboratory equipment as needed.\nParticipate in Quality Improvement activities.\nProvide backup coverage for QA Laboratory Measurement Technicians when needed.\nActively participate and comply with all West HSE programs and regulations.\nMaintain a neat and orderly work environment in accordance with West SS program.\nOther duties as assigned.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nAdditional Responsibilities\nProvide a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.\nMaintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.\nConform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and safety rules.\nExhibit regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.\nPerform other duties as assigned based on business needs.\nKeep current with new GMP compliance guidance and internal QA procedures\nSupport new GMP compliance guidance and Data Integrity initiatives\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\n3 years on the job experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is preferred. \nWork Experience\n3 years of job-related experience; in Quality Assurance / Quality Control.\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nMust have excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills & be able to interface with employees in all levels of the organization; must possess good organization, time-management, negotiating & conflict resolution skills; excellent computer skills (including MS Office experience using Word & Excel) required.\nAbility to understand an interpret dimensional drawings.\nAble to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description\nSupport and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target\nAble to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times\nAble to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.\nTravel Requirements\n5%: Up to 13 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nSedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
