And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts.\nJob Summary\nIn this role, you will be key to implementing new technology, developing and introducing process improvements, standards, life cycle management and validation in select process areas, helping to advance and transform West's growing business, supporting capital investments and contributing to addressing complex assignments. This role offers the opportunity to drive the implementation of new innovative processes, automation and new technologies in cooperation with the engineering and quality assurance teams and the plants. The person is a member of the West Global Process Engineering Team.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nSupervise personnel from job initiation to completion in assembly setup and repair function; monitor individual performance and guide appropriately.\nAssist in the planning, implementation and guidance of daily work activities to assure machinery and tooling are kept in satisfactory condition. Recommend maintenance equipment or techniques.\nAssist in installation of new products in tooling and related processes; investigate process problems; make new product/process recommendations.\nMaintain machinery log indicating history and performance as well as repairs/modifications performed; monitor machine performance in order to improve/maintain peak efficiency.\nResponsible to see that good manufacturing practices are met, OSHA, and safety regulations are adhered too. Safeguard company confidential information.\nSetup and maintain preventive maintenance program. Ensure the personnel responsible for performing maintenance are trained on the piece of equipment as well as safe work practices.\nIdentify training needs and implements/schedules required training programs of all maintenance personnel.\nLead and review in equipment validation. Tasks include writing and executing validation documents as well as assisting with equipment startup and troubleshooting.\nParticipate in the resolution of employee complaints and personnel or performance issues and/or coach employees to encourage teamwork. Routinely evaluate and review employee performance. Perform counseling with employees in regards to job performance, attendance, etc.\nPerforms other duties as assigned based on business needs.\nConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.\nExhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.\nParticipate in other duties as assigned.\n\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field required. \nWork Experience\n5+ years technical experience; 3+ years of management experience preferred.\nExtensive background in mechanical assembly, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatics.\nPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nGood knowledge of LEAN and 6 sigma manufacturing principles.\nKnowledge of statistical tools and Minitab.\ncGMP knowledge.\nAble to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.\nSupport and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.\nAble to comply with the company's safety and quality policies at all times.\nLicense and Certifications\nManufacturingSix Sigma Green Belt Certification within 1 Year required.\nTravel Requirements\n20%: Up to 52 business days per year\nPhysical Requirements\nLight-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.\nAdditional Requirements\nSelf-motivated, results- and solution-oriented personality.\nVery good organizational and project management skills.\nHighly analytical and structured way of working.\nAbility to successfully collaborate with teams across different countries and organizational levels.\nFluent in English.\nProficient in Microsoft based programs.\nAbility to assert technical solutions and standards in an international environment.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well with people across different countries.\nManage working with colleagues in different time-zones.\nAble to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
