This office manages the technology and data behind the Department of War's people, including service members, civilian employees, and military families, and turns that information into insight leaders can act on. In this role, you will analyze data from multiple sources, develop dashboards and visualizations, and turn complex findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. You will use Qlik, SQL, Databricks, Python, Spark, and Pandas to shape data, identify trends, and answer questions about organizational and process performance. You will also support data management practices that enable data science, enterprise analytics, and artificial intelligence products, including the secure handling of sensitive personnel data.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform data analysis and provide recommendations through dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Qlik Sense or Tableau\nDevelop data manipulation scripts using SQL or other applications\nShape data to answer questions about organizational and process performance\nAnalyze datasets from disparate sources to identify patterns, trends, insights, and areas of concern\nTranslate analytical findings into clear narratives that support decision making and brief senior leadership\nDefine and execute data management techniques and develop products that enable data science, enterprise analytics, and artificial intelligence\nReceive, store, analyze, and protect non-sensitive and sensitive data and data models involving DoW military and civilian personnel and military personnel dependents\nHandle personally identifying information and protected health information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements\nPrepare and edit technical content for business audiences\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nThree (3) to ten (10) years of directly related experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist\nDemonstrated hands-on experience with technologies such as Databricks, Python, Spark, and Pandas\nProficiency in Qlik\nExperience with Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools\nDetail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results with little direction or oversight\nComfortable using AI tools to improve product quality and delivery speed\nAptitude for technical writing and editing for business audiences\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with machine learning models and/or generative AI\nExperience with cloud data structures such as AWS S3, Delta tables, and external tables\nDemonstrated experience building end-to-end data pipelines in Databricks\nProven ability to integrate existing legacy systems\nEDUCATION\nB.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in a related field\nLOCATION\nFully remote - Full telework allowed\nCLEARANCE\nActive Secret security clearance required\nU.S. citizenship is required\nCLIENT\nOffice of the Under Secretary of War for Personnel and Readiness (OUSW P&R) - CIO Cyber Workforce - Booz Allen Hamilton subcontract\nWORK HOURS\nFull-time position\nEMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION\nEmployment Classification Eligibility - W2\nCOMPENSATION\nSalary range: $155,000 - $165,000\nBenefits: Benefits package includes options for health, dental, and vision insurance coverage; 401k contribution options\nWest 4th Strategy is an Equal Opportunity (EEO) employer.
