JOB TRAINING\n· Liaise with managerial staff in selective areas for the implementation of on-job training requirements.\n· Design and develop OJT programs (and update) in accordance customer and training needs.\n· Ensure the effective transfer of training to production\n· Provide on -job -training Guidance and control in Maintenance and Production areas.\n· Coaching learners to the effective implementation of training (Group & 1-on-1)\nEVALUATION / ASSESSMENT OF TRAINING\n· Ensure candidates preparedness / readiness for assessment.\n· Evaluate and assess the course effectiveness.\n· Evaluate learner feedback on course effectiveness.\n· Evaluate customer feedback on course effectiveness.\n· Evaluate learner competence (attitude, knowledge and skills) and provide feedback.\n· Set exam papers, self-test questions, practical exercises, Portfolio Evaluation checklists, activities and evidence guides.\n· Ensure confidentiality and safekeeping of assessment papers.\n· Design memorandums/ answer sheets.\n· Ensure the serviceability and availability of tooling and equipment in compliance with Regulatory Authority Requirements.\n· Comply with National standards SDA and Other training authorities including international standards.\n· Process results for data capturing on occasion and monthly reports.\n· Manage disputes and appeals in the event of dissatisfaction from learners on the outcome of the assessment.\n· Give feedback on performance and give guidance.\n· Provide pre-employment bridging training and Trade Testing (Section 28 candidates)\n· Conduct proficiency and Trade Testing on behalf of the department of Labour as an accredited service provider.\n· Provide one-on-one assessment for students with special needs.\n· Assess candidates in Maintenance Type Training, theory as well as practical (JAR & OJT).\n· Assist learners in fault finding/problem solving.\nGENERAL /AUXILIARY TRAINING\n· Participate in decision making with regard to the National Training Legislation and Unit Standard writing as per SDA.\n· Provide bridging training for new employees.\n· Design, Develop and Deliver special training programs.\n· Attend local and international development programs for self-development.\n· Assist / provide training for part certification and full shop certification courses.\n· Assist HR with induction training.\n· Assist with Safety, Health and Environment courses.\n· Retrain staff due to restructuring.\n· Provide refresher / recurrent and certification training.\n· Assist with employee wellbeing (EWB) and deal with personal and compassionate issues.\n· Control apprentice / learner training.\n· Prepare staff for the attainment of certification\n· Provide support training, recurrent training and refresher courses.\n· Assist the manager Training in his duties.\nGENERAL DUTIES:\nParticipate in Recruitment and selection initiatives (Learners and Technicians)\n· Act as subject matter expert during interviews\n· Participate in special projects.\n· Provide First Aid when required.\n· Attend meetings and participate in decision making.\n· Participate in the monitoring of the budget and keep control\n· Motivate the procurement of capital items for a specific area. Make provision to replace time-ex items due to depreciation/ damage/ unserviceable.\n· Optimize material usage and control wastage.\n· Ensure recycling of expandable materials.\n· Optimize course days/capacity training\nQUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE\nGrade 12 or equivalent\nMust be a qualified Aviation Technician in their respective trade.
