calls/emails from vendors or other departments concerning payment status of invoices.\nReviews incoming statements from vendors to ensure all outstanding invoices are entered and paid, requests missing copies of invoices from vendors if necessary.\nInvestigate payment problems while following corporate Accounts Payable policies and procedures.\nFile and maintain financial information, files, and records (i.e., invoices, payments, receipts) in an orderly manner.\nAble to effectively manage an Accounts Payable shared email mail box\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION\n\nEducation & Experience\nCollege diploma in accounting, finance, or business preferred.\nMinimum three (3) years of experience in a full cycle A/P capacity.\nSolid understanding of basic accounting principles\nDemonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.\nSolid understanding of Canadian Taxes\nExperience working in multiple entity corporations\n\nSkills\nMust possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.\nAbility to work to deadlines and handle high volume as required.\nClearly understands how to assess the importance of tasks and decisions and set priorities, focusing time/energy on the most important issues/opportunities.\nAble to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations.\nEffective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.\nProficiency with MSOffice – Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency is required.\nPreferred experience with IFS and JDE ERP systems\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nAbility to interact with stakeholders at all organizational levels and the public.\nSolution oriented, customer service focus, and positive “can do” team attitude.\nStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills required with demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner.\nAbility to work in a large team environment as well as
