The FTI Lead provides technical leadership and support to ensure instrumentation systems perform as intended and support successful aircraft-level flight testing activities.\nThis role requires close collaboration with aircraft development teams, flight test personnel, and engineering stakeholders to develop and implement instrumentation solutions that meet testing and certification requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and design Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) systems for Flight Test Vehicles (FTVs).\nInterface and collaborate with engineering disciplines to define and support instrumentation requirements.\nCreate fabrication, installation, and implementation plans for FTI equipment.\nDevelop and maintain FTI calibration processes, procedures, and tools.\nIdentify and implement FTI solutions utilizing third-party commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.\nCreate and maintain FTI operating procedures, instructions, and documentation.\nDevelop, manage, and monitor FTI design, implementation schedules, and budgets.\nProvide technical guidance and support to Flight Test Engineers and flight test teams.\nEnsure instrumentation systems are installed, configured, and functioning as required to support aircraft testing programs.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, or\nDiploma in Engineering Technology or a related technical discipline.\nExperience\nMinimum of 10 years of experience in a flight test environment preferred.\nDemonstrated experience with flight test instrumentation systems and data acquisition systems.\nCertifications\nRelevant industry certifications are considered an asset.\nComputer Skills\nMicrosoft Word (Intermediate proficiency required).\nPreferred Qualifications / Success Factors\nExperience in avionics or aerospace design, with a focus on Flight Test Instrumentation.\nExperience in electronics laboratory diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing.\nKnowledge of Part 21 certification processes related to FTI installations.\nExperience using CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.\nStrong project planning, organization, and budgeting capabilities.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills in a complex aerospace
