This position partners closely with leadership to align people practices with operational and business objectives. \nKey Responsibilities\nEmployee relations & Workforce support \nServe as the primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and workplace matters. \nFoster positive employee relations and resolve conflicts in a fair, consistent and timely manner.\nPartner with leadership to support workplace planning and performance management initiatives.\nLead workplace investigations and ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices. \nDevelop, analyze and report on HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, safety reports) to identify trends and recommend improvement strategies.\nManage employee terminations and offboarding with professionalism, sensitivity, and legal compliance. \nReview HR reports related to resourcing, turnover, disability, safety, employee engagement; collaborate with leaders to develop and implement action plans.\nRecruitment & Onboarding \nLead end -to-end recruitment process. \nPartner with department heads to understand hiring needs and workforce planning. \nDevelop and implement effective sourcing strategies. \nBuild and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs. \nDevelop and deliver onboarding and orientation programs to support new-hire success.\nHR Policies & Compliance \nCreate, maintain and update HR policies and the employee handbook. \nEnsure compliance with Federal, provincial and local employment laws.\nCommunicate policy updates clearly and effectively to employees and leaders. \nMaintain accurate and confidential employee records. \nSupport audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting requirements.\nCompensation, Benefits & Payroll Support \nAdminister employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries.\nSupport payroll processing by ensuring accurate employee data, timekeeping, and employment changes. \nAssist leadership with compensation planning and pay practices.\nTraining & Development\nCoordinate training programs in accordance with the Canada Labour Code. \nSupport leadership development initiatives for Managers and Supervisors. \nMaintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.\nHealth, Safety & Manufacturing Environment Support \nPartner with operations to promote workplace safety OSHA compliance. \nCollaborate with the Health & Safety (H&S) team to support behaviour-based safety culture, reducing incidents and promoting a safe work environment.\nImmigration \nManage end-to-end immigration processes, including work permits, vias, and permanent residency. \nCoordinate with external immigration counsel and government agencies of case filings and documentation.\nTrack and maintain immigration case statuses, deadlines, and employee records.\nAdditional Support \nSupport additional Human resource initiatives identified by the business.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, ore related field (or equivalent experience).\n5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment. \nStrong knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation. \nSpecialist knowledge of Canadian Labour and Employment Laws; multi-provincial experience preferred. \nExperience in the Aviation sector or manufacturing/ industrial environment is considered a strong asset.\nStrong knowledge of immigration laws and employment regulations.\nSkills & Competencies\nHands-on, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment. \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to trust credibility. \nCreative problem- solver with the ability to think outside the box and build consensus. \nEnergetic with a strong work ethic;
