The role focuses on improving workplace efficiency, reducing search time, enhancing safety, supporting lean manufacturing principles, and driving operational excellence across warehouse and production environments.\n\nThe successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, production, and supply chain teams to identify organizational opportunities, develop engineered solutions, and manage implementation from concept through fabrication and deployment.\nThis position is located at our Calgary AB office.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and implement the manufacturing strategy for DHC operations to achieve long-term operational goals.\nProvide governance, oversight, and leadership for transformative projects that enhance production capabilities and operational efficiency across Industrialization, Tool Crib, and GSE.\nEnsure project timelines, budgets, and objectives are met, with a strong focus on delivering measurable results.\nSupervise the industrialization team to design and optimize manufacturing cells, plant layouts, facility upgrades, and production flow, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Methods, Operations, and Supply Chain, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.\nUtilize an agile problem-solving approach to swiftly identify and address complex challenges in aircraft manufacturing.\nEnsure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by the direct reports of the defined departments.\nProvide regular performance feedback and support professional development initiatives to enhance individual and team capabilities.\nEnsure compliance with safety and quality standards in both Tool Crib and GSE operations.\n Product Delivery Process Development Design & Deployment\nConduct workplace observations and time studies to identify opportunities for equipment organization.\nDesign shadow boards, visual controls, and point-of-use storage based on Lean and 5S principles.\nDevelop layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Visio, or equivalent tools).\nDefine optimum part placement based on ergonomic and frequency-of-use analysis.\nStandardize shadow board designs across multiple departments and facilities.\nCreate part silhouettes, identification labels, part numbering, and visual management standards.\nValidate designs with end users and stakeholders before fabrication.\nFabrication & Installation\nEstablish and manage Kaizen shop processes.\nManage procurement of required materials and hardware.\nOversee installation activities and ensure compliance with safety requirements.\nVerify finished products meet design specifications and operational needs.\nLean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement\nSupport 5S audits and workplace organization initiatives.\nLead Kaizen & Kanban events focused on workplace efficiency and waste reduction.\nApply Lean methodologies to eliminate motion waste and improve productivity.\nDevelop standard work and best practices for tool control and workplace organization.\nIdentify opportunities for visual management improvements across operations.\nData Analysis & Process Improvement\nPerform time studies and motion analysis before and after implementation.\nQuantify productivity improvements and labor savings.\nMeasure utilization, compliance, and effectiveness of installed shadow boards.\nDevelop KPIs and dashboards to monitor improvements.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nUnderstanding and exposure to Project management.\nWork with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams.\nFacilitate design review workshops with stakeholders.\nTrain employees on shadow board standards and visual management practices.\nSupport facility layout and workplace optimization projects.\n\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.\n5+ years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing or Industrialization, with at least 1-3 years in a project manager role.\nDeep understanding of aerospace manufacturing systems, engineering systems, and aircraft production.\nAdvanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, project management frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nStrong analytical skills for evaluating business cases, production metrics, and operational efficiency across multiple departments.\nProven ability to lead, influence, and inspire teams across multiple functions to achieve organizational goals.\nStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical
