It involves leading Sputter Process Improvement Projects and supervising as well as training technicians and engineering specialists.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nTo plan, coordinate, and follow up on sputter systems start-up/conversion activities and process documentation. \nTo audit sputter parameters and practice periodically, include online SPC and procedure conformance.\nTo lead sputter process-related issues troubleshooting (common causes), work closely with the shift process team in sputter process sustaining, troubleshooting & improvement to achieve sputter utilization (downtime), yield & quality goals.\nTo initiate and lead Sputter Process Improvement Projects (SU/STT/Cost/Quality/PPH & others), which include new products/machines/process qualification.\nTo lead, supervise, and coach/train process tech & SE, including engineering specialists and characterize technicians.\nResponsible for leading junior engineers in sputter process-related issues troubleshooting (common causes), working closely with the Shift process team in sputter process sustaining, trouble shooting & improvement to achieve sputter utilization (downtime) & quality goals.\nResponsible for leading, coaching/training process techs & new SEs, including engineering specialists and characterize technicians. Responsible for training and sharing the PMR/DS sputter process and yield improvement knowledge with the team.\nResponsible for leading junior engineers in sputter parameters monitoring, including online SPC monitoring and procedure conformance.\nResponsible for leading junior engineers in sputter machine start-up, including process characterization (new products & process changes).\nResponsible for leading junior engineers in new products/machines/process qualification.\nResponsible for long-term improvement projects (SU/STT/Cost/Quality/PPH & others). Others include FMEA.\nUnderstand and accept responsibility for performing jobs safely\nFollow safety and health rules\nResponsible for leading junior engineers in sputter yield-related issues troubleshooting (common causes).\nWork closely with sputter yield team in sputter yield sustaining, trouble shooting & improvement in order to achieve the sputter yield goal. This includes 0725 Operation Yield Improvement.\nThe other supervisor assigned tasks.\n REQUIRED:\nBachelor's degree in Materials/Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Physic. Master's degree preferred.\nPREFERRED:\nMinimum 2 years of experience in sputter process engineering, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.\nKnowledge of metrology principles, techniques, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM)\nExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment\nDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and precision\nSKILLS:\nStrong analytical skills with expertise in statistical analysis and data interpretation\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams\nStrong technical report writing and presentation skills\n WD thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
