It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.\nWe’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.\nJoin us and let’s shape the future of data.\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDesign, develop, and maintain control systems and automation solutions for manufacturing processes. \nTroubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, sensors, drives, and instrumentation issues. \nOptimize machine performance, reliability, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). \nLead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for equipment failures. \nSupport new equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities. \nDevelop and update electrical drawings, control logic documentation, and standard operating procedures. \nCoordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to ensure operational excellences. \nThis position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.\n Qualifications\nREQUIRED:\nMaster's Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related engineering discipline.\n\nPREFERRED:\nKnowledge of industrial networks, instrumentation, and electrical systems. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nGood communication and teamwork abilities. \nExperience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi, Omron). \nSKILLS\nStrong foundational knowledge in instrumentation principles, control theory, and process automation. \nFamiliarity with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and DCS architecture. \nUnderstanding of sensor technologies (pressure, temperature, flow, displacement, vision systems). \nExposure to data acquisition systems and signal conditioning. \nKnowledge of calibration standards and metrology practices is an added advantage. \nBasic proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, or equivalent) is preferred. \nUnderstanding of statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage. \n WD thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
