The role serves as the technical bridge among Product, Process, Manufacturing, NPI, IT development, and related teams, translating future product and process requirements into scalable, standardized, and sustainable MVX capabilities.\nThe position ensures Factory Systems readiness for engineering builds, qualification, production ramp, and sustaining operations, while shaping the future Factory Systems AI platform architecture and maintaining alignment with the long-term Factory Systems strategy.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPartner with Product and Process teams to understand future programs, technology changes, and manufacturing needs.\nTranslate Product and Process roadmaps into Factory Systems and MVX functional capabilities and development roadmaps.\nPrioritize capabilities and delivery sequencing based on business value, program milestones, manufacturing readiness, and cross-functional dependencies.\nDefine investment and funding requirements to support prioritized Factory Systems, MVX, and AI roadmap capabilities.\nFacilitate alignment with Process Owners to define and document manufacturing workflows, system behavior, business rules, and data requirements for MVX.\nIdentify capability gaps, dependencies, operational risks, and readiness requirements for engineering builds, qualification, production ramp, and sustaining operations.\nDrive standardization and reusable capabilities across products, processes, and manufacturing sites.\nPartner with IT to ensure technical solutions meet approved functional requirements and deliver intended manufacturing outcomes.\n **Required:**\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nStrong experience with MES, ERP, Factory Systems, or manufacturing system solutions.\nGood understanding of manufacturing workflows, system behavior, business rules, data requirements, and system integration.\nExperience translating Product and Process roadmaps into system capabilities and development priorities.\nAbility to identify capability gaps, dependencies, operational risks, readiness needs, and investment requirements.\nExperience supporting engineering builds, qualification, production ramp, or sustaining operations.\nAbility to guide architecture direction and drive standardized, reusable capabilities across products, processes, and sites.\nAbility to communicate technical direction and recommendations clearly to both technical and management stakeholders.\n**Preferred:**\nExperience developing technology roadmaps, high-level investment proposals, or funding requirements.\nFamiliarity with AI-enabled manufacturing platforms, data governance, analytics, automation, or MLOps.\nExperience facilitating architecture or design reviews across multiple teams.\nAbility to balance near-term manufacturing needs with long-term system flexibility and sustainability.\n WD is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and employees and will not discriminate against any applicant or employee based on their race, color, ancestry, religion (including religious dress and grooming standards), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions, breastfeeding or related medical conditions), gender (including a person’s gender identity, gender expression, and gender-related appearance and behavior, whether or not stereotypically associated with the person’s assigned sex at birth), age, national origin, sexual orientation, medical condition, marital status (including domestic partnership status), physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, protected medical and family care leave, Civil Air Patrol status, military and veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
