Must be skilled in various characterization tools and programming languages. Capable of defining short to mid-term goals and achieving the expected result through strong leadership skills. Required to be a licensed chemist. Performs the following responsibilities:\nKey Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:\nPerform Engineering tasks to ensure that the required chemical, material, and physical characterization deliverables are achieved. Includes, but is not limited to, actual tool operation and application, data analytics, and automation.\nDevelop methods and an innovative characterization process to ensure that the required capability is sustained. Includes, but is not limited to, wet chemistry analysis, various spectroscopy and chromatography techniques (RAMAN, SEM-EDX, GC, IC) and Electrochemistry \nGenerates technical and executive reports, reviews, and approves the Technician’s report.\nSets objective and plans effectively, including coaching & mentoring Technicians within the organization to achieve the deliverables\nCommunicate, engage and supports the function /department and site objectives.\nCommunicates to higher management and executives when necessary\nDemonstrate strong capability in problem solving to support operations and issues that requires the analytical expertise of the team.\nPlans effectively to ensures availability of resources to run the process\nSupport Company activities and implementation of policies and programs\nPerform other duties as assigned\n Education and Work Experience:\nLicensed Chemist\nBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science\nAtleast 3 years of professional experience in the Chemical and Physical/Material Laboratory.\nIndustry exposure in Electronics, Semiconduction Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.\nMaster's degree in related field is an advantage.\nSkills and Competency Requirements:\nStrong problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical skills, and failure analysis.\nAbility to interpret large amounts of data into actionable insights.\nAbility to work with teams across different departments and collaborating effectively.\nProficient skills in data analytics/data science and programing.\nFlexible and adaptable to Western Digital culture.\nOther Requirements:\nOpen to employment opportunities in Binan City, Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.\nOpen to a reporting on-site work arrangement.\nOpen to a dayshift work schedule.\nImportant Reminders:\nWe provide free medical examination.\nWe do not collect any original documents.\nWe do not collect any fees at any stage of the hiring process.\n WD thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
