It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.\nWe’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.\nJoin us and let’s shape the future of data.\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSoftware, Automation & Equipment Engineering\nDesign, develop, test, integrate, deploy, and support PLC/HMI and equipment software for manufacturing equipment and automation projects.\nLead software projects from requirements definition through development, validation, production deployment, and technical handover, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, quality, and performance requirements.\nDevelop reliable, maintainable, scalable, and standardized software solutions using software engineering best practices, reusable components, technical documentation, and revision control.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers to define requirements, integrate systems, assess technical risks, and implement effective solutions.\nReview software designs and control logic, provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer, and support complex software and control-system issues when required.\nSmart Manufacturing, Innovation & Continuous Improvement\nDevelop and implement innovative solutions using automation, data analytics, IoT, AI/ML, Computer Vision and digital technologies, including proof-of-concept solutions, equipment data collection, monitoring, dashboards, predictive quality, and smart maintenance applications.\nIdentify opportunities to improve quality, yield, productivity, cycle time, OEE, equipment availability, downtime, labor efficiency, and operational efficiency.\nValidate results, apply structured problem-solving methods, standardize successful solutions for replication, and scale them across applicable equipment and production lines.\n REQUIRED:\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics/Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience at least 3 years in Manufacturing process\nBasic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment\nStrong hands-on experience with PLC/HMI programming and manufacturing automation systems.\nFamiliarity with automation concepts and control systems\nKnowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 concepts \nKnowledge of HDD Process & Technology, HDD Quality Management, ESD & Contamination\nSKILLS:\nProficiency in PLC/HMI programming.\nKnowledge of Programming C#, C++, Python, AI, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning technologies and web applications.\nData analysis skills (Excel, basic statistics)\nDemonstrate a good level of English proficiency (Speaking/Written)\n WD thrives on the power and potential of diversity.
